Lisbon: Surf Half-day/Full-day Tour
On a half-day or full-day surf adventure from Lisbon, take in the impressive waves of the Atlantic Ocean and some of the most beautiful white sand beaches and surf spots for beginners or advanced surfers, all within 10 to 30 minutes of driving distance of the city center.
With a local surfer, you can surf some of the coolest hidden spots. Transfer from Lisbon Zoo, taking in the beautiful coastline and its many different elements as you go. See uncrowded waves and deserted beaches. Travel to the Costa da Caparica, where the Tejo River, also known as the River Tagus, flows into the ocean. The fossil cliffs of Caparica are a "Protected Landscape," making it a location with a unique natural heritage.

The coastline is subjected to a wide range of swells because it has been carved by erosion and the fury of the waves. It is a dependable surfing area that has waves for all levels of experience. Surf with boards of varying sizes, depending on your level of skill. Try a variety of shapes to find the board that works best for you.
You will receive all of the necessary surf gear, including wetsuits and optional video footage, so you can evaluate your technique and make any necessary adjustments.
Important to know
- To participate in this activity, you must be able to swim with confidence in the ocean's waves. Surfing is a game that requires a healthy degree of actual wellness
- This action is dependent upon great climate/ocean conditions. In the event that it must be canceled, you will be given the option of a different date or a full refund.
- Please provide the height and weight of all participants when booking
- This activity requires a minimum number of participants; if the minimum is not met, you will be offered a different date or a full refund.

It was my first surfing experience. I chose it mostly to tick another box out of the bucket list but the introduction was so inspiring that I'm thinking to continue with this hobby now. 4 hours was perfect for the start: enough time to prepare, train, get all the instructions. We spent over 2 intensive hours in the water, and I even managed to stay on the board 3 times!

"I was picked up at my desired location at exactly 8:30am. Nuno was very punctual and considerate. The car ride to the beach was very entertaining - he told me about the history of the city and the best places/food in the city. The lesson itself was very instructive and the safety rules are a must! As a beginner, I am grateful the instructor was by my side throughout the lesson giving me pointers along the way. He even took the time to take photos and videos. I highly recommend this experience!

This is a must do activity in Lisbon! We are surfing beginners (that may even be generous) but my husband and I had the best time! Nuno was a fantastic instructor, very patient and encouraging, but also was very observant in making sure that everybody was having fun and being safe. The transportation to and from Lisbon Zoo was also such a plus. From initially booking all the way until the activity everything was so well planned, Filipe checked in with us for the size of our wetsuits and let us know about a slight adjustment in our start time in order to make sure we had good waves. This is a can’t miss activity and probably our favourite day in Lisbon!
