Your day starts by making your way to the centrally located meeting point where you will meet your guide and settle into your comfortable coach. After a short drive, your first stop is Zaanse Schans where you can admire traditional Dutch windmills that are still in use today and historic wooden buildings.

The next stop is Edam for a visit to the site of the historic cheese market and time to explore independently. Then, near Volendam, you’ll visit a local cheese producer and learn how they make Gouda and Edam cheeses — and sample some of the goods. After visiting a clog factory, it’s another short drive to the fishing village of Marken where you can admire its characteristic colorful wooden houses.

Your bus tour ends at A'dam Lookout where, if you have booked the optional cruise, your 1-hour cruise to Centraal Station begins.

Zaanse Schans

The visit starts in Zaanse Schans, a windmill settlement where you will be able to take pictures of the gorgeous Dutch windmills that are still in use today. Discover why windmills played a crucial role on the country development.

Edam

In Edam, we will walk through historic sites like the square where the famous Cheese Market used to take place.

Simonehoeve

Then, near Volendam, we will visit a local cheese producer, where the cheese master will explain how Gouda and Edam cheeses are produced. In the clog workshop, you will discover all the secrets behind this special Dutch shoe.

Volendam

In this fishermen's village, you will have free time to visit the pier, try local food, or do some shopping.

Marken

On the last stop we will travel back in time to the 17th century, as we walk by cozy wooden houses in Marken, the fishing harbour, and the protestant church.
IMPORTANT. The visit to Marken may be substituted for safety reasons in case of bad weather conditions.

A'dam Lookout (Pass By)

Your bus tour ends at A'dam Lookout. You can either take the ferry for free to Amsterdam central station (2-minute ride) or our guide will take those who have booked the cruise to the pier where the 1-hour cruise starts.
