Our gondolier Alvise Marco was fantastic! He was very engaging & funny. I highly recommend this ride.

Interesting, comprehensive and enjoyable

The guide was very competent and mainly reported on the difficulties of the local Venetians. We were frightened by the decline in the number of residents reported in Venice (about 100,000 in 1960, today 49,000) and the frightening takeover of shops and restaurants by the Chinese.

Beautiful visits with an interesting guide. However, as 2.5 hours of sightseeing approached, she picked up the pace and we quickly passed rooms of the Doge's Palace. A little frustrating.

It is quite the day. Pompeii is very interesting and the guides try to not run into each other too much. Vesuvio is a uphill walk that is doable, but in the given time a challenge for not so fit people. But worth the hike! We had a great guide that made it all entertaining and interesting. I am glad I went.

Well organised host trip to Murano and Burano. Glass making demonstration was good. Not long on each island but enough to get a flavour and take lots of photos. Boat ride was interesting with information given by the guide. I think it was good value and would recommend as a half day trip which doesn’t eat into a short break in Venice too much. Loved the colourful houses on Burano which was the main reason for booking.
