Girona, Costa Brava & Medieval Villages Full Day Tour

Embark on a full-day journey through Catalonia, exploring the historic streets of Girona, the Costa Brava coastline, and the medieval villages of Pals and Peratallada. This tour offers a balanced mix of history, culture, and scenic landscapes.

Depart in the morning from Estación de Francia aboard a comfortable air-conditioned coach. After about 1 hour and 15 minutes, arrive in Girona, where a local expert guide leads you through the cobblestone streets of the Call Jueu (Jewish Quarter), one of the best-preserved medieval Jewish quarters in Europe, as well as the Cathedral with the widest Gothic nave in the world, the medieval city walls, and the Onyar River with its colorful houses and historic bridges.

After the guided visit, enjoy around 1 hour of free time to explore Girona at your own pace. You may walk along the city walls, look for Game of Thrones filming locations, or relax with a coffee on the Rambla de la Llibertat. The tour then continues by coach to the medieval heart of the Baix Empordà.

Visit the villages of Pals and Peratallada, two stone-built towns that preserve a strong medieval character. A guided walk through Peratallada reveals fortified walls, narrow lanes, and small squares, followed by free time for photos and independent exploration.

The day ends in Calella de Palafrugell, one of the most appealing coastal villages on the Costa Brava, known for its whitewashed houses, clear coves, and seafront setting.

You will have 3 hours of free time to have lunch (not included), swim, photograph the fishing boats, or simply enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere before returning to Barcelona by coach in the late afternoon.
