We had a nice experience with Xavier. He is very knowledgeable and very friendly. With the tour we got a complete overview of the highlights and hidden gems of the city and as a bonus we could finish with a nice canal cruise. Walking tour is an ideal way to get an overview of the city, some of its history and some local insights. Great to do this in a small walking tour and to do it early in the day before the crowds of day trippers and late risers join. It gets very crowded and think a bigger tour would be problematic.

Our tour guide met us at the Historium in the Markt. We visited Markt Square, De Burg, Basilica of the Holy Blood, Vismarkt, a Gothic Mansion, Arentshoff, Gruuthesemuseum, a brewery, Beguinage, canal tour and stopped into a chocolate shop for samples. Our tour guide grew up and lives in Bruges. He was very knowledgeable and had interesting stories to tell us about the city of Bruges. Our favorite part was the canal tour. Seeing Bruges from a different view point was wonderful. It was a beautiful sunny day and we loved the water views.
