Discover Romania’s iconic landmarks on a castle tour from Bucharest that combines royal heritage, medieval history, and time to explore a charming Transylvanian town.

After pickup in Bucharest, travel to Sinaia to visit Peleș Castle, the former residence of the Romanian kings. Inside, you’ll find richly decorated rooms filled with historic furnishings, ornamental objects, carpets, tapestries, sculptures, paintings, and collections of weapons dating from the 15th to 19th centuries.

Continue to Bran to visit Bran Castle, widely known as Dracula’s Castle. Learn about its history and its former strategic role as a border fortress between Transylvania and Wallachia.

The tour also includes free time in Brașov, where you can stroll through the Old Town and admire houses built in Renaissance, Baroque, Provincial, and Neo-Classic styles. Explore the medieval fortress, once considered one of Europe’s most secure, and see preserved sections of the old walls, the Black and White Towers, and the Weaver’s Bastion.

Important Info

• The departure will be between 06:40 and 07:15. The exact departure time will be received prior the tour starts after 5 p.m . Please arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.
• On Monday and Tuesday, Peles and Pelisor Castles are closed all year round and can be seen from outside.
• The order of the itinerary depends on the season, weather, and opening hours. Unforeseen events may result in a visit only on outside of one castle.
• For AudioGuide you will need to have your own headset and internet.
• Food, hot drinks, alcohol or smoking on is prohibited
• Only a small backpack is allowed on the bus.
• Not suitable for: Children under 7 year, Pregnant women, People with mobility impairments, Wheelchair users, Visually impaired people, Hearing-impaired people.
• Pets are not allowed.

Fantastic day trip from Bucharest to Peleș Castle, Brașov, and Bran Castle with my kids. Our guide, Otilia, was punctual, pleasant, and very knowledgeable—she shared lots of interesting facts and helpful tips for Bucharest too. We left at 7 AM, stopped at a beautiful scenic spot for breakfast near Peleș, then visited the castle from 10–11. Despite some traffic on the way to Brașov, we still had enough time to explore the old town. Otilia took attendance at each stop and made sure no one was left behind. The whole tour was well-organized and family-friendly. Our driver, Gelu, was professional and made the ride smooth. Highly recommend!

It was a great day trip and the sights were excellent. Our tour guide Otilia was an excellent story teller on the history of the country and the area. She really made it come to life! Our driver Cosmin was excellent as well having to navigate through traffic delays because of a car race and bridge construction. We couldn’t have asked for a better team on this trip!

My opinion Bran Castle is the better of the 2. Very organised, we had Eugen who was giving us information all through the tour on the bus which was very good. Both castle are unique in their own way. Brasov is a great little place, would recommend this trip for Brasov itself

Our Tour guide for the day, Otilia, was absolutely brilliant - a gem :-) ! She was full of knowledge of the places we went for the day and she certainly know how to entertain a bus full of tourist with information and a blast of good humour of Romanian cultures (weddings and funerals) interjected during our bus journey that had all of us in stiches (especially part my trip to romania was to attend a colleague's wedding here and I totally relate to her humour on the subject). If I had to rate Otilia, I'd given her a twelve out of ten ! Oh, the bus driver for the day (sorry, I can't remember his name) was brilliant too. This is a very good value for money trip and I highly recommend it to everybody !
