Discover the sights and notable cities of Transylvania on this tour from Bucharest. Visit historic castles and a medieval town as you immerse yourself in this atmospheric region.

Set off to explore the historic castles of Transylvania and the medieval city of Brașov. Stop in the small town of Sinaia and visit Peleș Castle to explore the former summer palace of the Romanian royals.

Continue to Bran, famous for the imposing fortress connected to the legend of Count Dracula. Hear tales about the real-life Vlad the Impaler, said to have inspired Bram Stoker. Get panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from the remains of the citadel.

Enjoy some free time to find keepsakes in the souvenir market, and before taking a walking tour of Brașov's medieval Old Town with a local guide. Benefit from some time at leisure before traveling back to Bucharest.

Important Info

• If you want to visit Peles Castle please buy tickets in advance only for the time slot (10:00-11:00 if you have the trip on Wednesday and for the rest of the week 9:15-11:00) because there is a maximum capacity of 500 tickets per time slot.
• If you have your trip on Friday, Saturday or Sunday please check the availability of the time slot in advance.
• If you made the booking but the tickets are already sold out you can buy tickets to Pelisor castle, which is also worth to be visited. The time slot that you have to choose here is (10:00-12:00 if you have the trip on Wednesday and for the rest of the week 9:15-12:00)
• The guided tour will be just in Peles Castle.
• PLEASE DO NOT BUY TICKETS FOR OTHER TIME SLOTS THAN THE ONE MENTIONED ABOVE!
• The pick-up point is ONLY at University Square at 7 AM, you will receive a message with all the details regarding your guide phone number and bus plate number one day in advance.
• Please note that entrance fees for Peles Castle and Bran Castle are not included in the tour price (approx. 34 Euro/person)
• A moderate amount of walking is involved
• Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking difficulties or in a wheelchair
• On Mondays and Tuesdays, Peles Castle is closed. It will only be seen from outside.
• During Easter Hollidays (20-22.04), Peles Castle it is closed and it will be seen from outside.
• Transfer durations are variable and depend on real-time traffic conditions and time of day.
• The schedule of activities is flexible, changing according to the time of year, weather patterns, and the hours that places are open.
• We are unable to accommodate late arrivals. Please ensure you are present 15 minutes before the scheduled departure at the indicated meeting point. The bus will leave at 7 AM and is not waiting for anybody.

The guide explained in organized way all the event related to dracula and the Romanian history, i learnt a lot, also the trip is perfectly arranged and they planned everything in advance, enough time for the activities, i give 10 out of 10,

Everything was fine. Peles Castle limited the numbers of visitors. We didn’t buy tickets in time. However, we enjoyed the park and Palisor Castle instead. Our guide Vlad took good care of us and provided options and tips along the trip. Brasov hosted a marathon game. We cheered with the crowds for the athletes. A beautiful medieval city indeed. I hope I had more time there.

Adriana is a very friendly and knowledgeable. She answers all of our questions. She really ensured our experience was personalized and enjoyable. Victor is an excellent and competent driver. We felt very safe in the bus. Some constructive criticism would be to keep clients informed of changes to the schedule. Highly recommend this tour!

Very well organised, nice clean and modern coach, Vlad was an excellent guide who shared lots of facts and was always happy to answer questions, as well as keeping you updated through out the day via WhatsApp… couldn’t ask for more! The only thing I would suggest if you go on the trip is booking tickets for the Peleş castle well in advance as they sell out quickly, but if you are unable to get tickets, you can visit the Pelişor Castle instead which is on the same grounds.
