The tour guide Michael was very knowledgeable and personable but I’m not sure I can rave about this tour. We drink a lot of good wine and weren’t expecting the wines to be great, so they were about we expected. We did expect to have more to taste. There were only 2 wineries and 7 wines to taste and we were expecting more for the price we paid.

Susan was our guide. We were picked up and driven about 20 minutes outside the city. We got a nice history lesson of the area from Susan then stopped at our first winery. This is a small family owned operation and the owner could not have been nicer. ALL of the wines were very good.

Guide was super knowledgeable and well versed in the area and about the local wine industry. We had a lovely tour of two vineyards both with their own charm. Lunch was delicious tradition fare. Transportation was very comfortable. All in all an amazing experience good value.

This was the best tour! Small group - just 8 of us and Julianna, our guide and driver. She was amazing and the perfect person to tell us about the wine in that region. The two wineries we visited were quaint, with great wines, but I liked they were two different types of facilities. Both were in their homes, but one was in a small neighborhood, with the tasting room above the pressroom, and the second was a dining room in a home, where we were also treated to lunch. I can't recommend this tour and Julianna, enough!

We had a fabulous time visiting 3 small wineries that all offered a wonderful tasting. Our dinner meal was delightful and delicious, prepared by the winery owner and representative of a typical Hungarian meal. The chestnut dessert was incredible and like nothing I have ever had. Our guide Susan did a fabulous job, providing some historical information as we left Budapest and the giving us information about the wine region we were visiting. Highly recommend this tour.

Susan the tour guide was a gem. Great knowledge of Budapest and Hungary. We did the dinner. The stew and cabbage slaw was phenomenal. The cellar owners/hosts were very cordial. We really enjoyed this trip. One note: bring bottle water for the ride. Enjoy! Cheers.

Ended up on the evening tour with dinner, led by a wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable guide who kept us entertained and informed throughout. The small artisan wineries and vineyards were a great experience, on our tour we got a young modern winery to start with followed by an old traditional cellar located in a cave! The dinner was excellent, provided essentially from the kitchen of the vineyard owner. Great prices on the wines too compared to the city.

An extremely fun and engaging nighttime trip to visit the nearby vineyards. Our guide, Peter, was incredible: very knowledgeable about wine, culture, history, sports, and cuisine. We finished a tour of three family vineyards with a marvelous home cooked meal of game, cabbage salad, and more wine! Would highly recommend this tour to wine lovers and culture warriors.
