Everything has gone very well from the reservation to the activity, recommended

The views and time were wonderful! You have inside and outside seating, your choice. We sat outside. There weren't enough speakers or the volume was low. So, we couldn't hear the tour narration. Apart from that, all was good.

wonderful music and view, food ok, service ok. We paid 30 extra euros to have a table by the window but in the piano Battle room all tables are by the window so we were really upset about this. Also, people who book a 2 courses dinner are served food only after 6 courses people have finished their first two courses, which means you can get really hangry.

It is worth doing the walk x the Danube at night, you have a super nice view.

Easy and convenient! No hassle and friendly staff

Daniel was so well informed and a great guide. We had plenty of time to visit, as well as see all the sites. It was truly a worth while journey and we highly recommend this tour in a beautiful tuk tuk.

David was a superb guide and we had a wonderful tour of the city. It felt very personal and David was very good would recommend.

It was one of the coolest events in Budapest. The pier is easy to find, and everything happens quickly and with a very short waiting time. The staff is very friendly and professional. It's a pity to miss the opportunity to get this experience.

Paul was a great tour guide. He provided an excellent experience and showed us sights we would have missed because we only had a day to see the highlights of Budapest.

Great dinner, views, and entertainment. We bought the 3 course with window seat package. Thought we would perhaps buy the drink package as well, but al la cart pricing for drinks was better selection and very affordable. All seats were by the window so didn't need to purchase that upgrade (two rows of tables all by the window). The duck confit was amazing! Loved the pianists and singer. Lovely romantic river cruise, would highly recommend!

Great tour today by Daniel. So effortless and fun to view the sights riding on the tuk tuk while getting a nice narrative about the historical and architectural highlights of the area. Daniel was very enthusiastic and proud of his city. He was very easy to hear and welcomed our questions. We were able to stop, look around and take photos at several locations including the Castle district in Buda and the Jewish district. He suggested popular Hungarian foods and beverages for us to try during our stay and interesting bars and restaurants to visit. The morning was a bit cool and he had blankets on hand for us to use. Highly recommended tour!

The cruise was lovely and the staff was friendly and accommodating to my requests. I would recommend the cruise for a lovely evening out with fantastic views of a beautiful city with fabulous ambience.

Unfortunately, there were a few people sitting at the next table who were very loud and made it difficult to enjoy the great music. From the half it was really great. There were just no comments on the piano game as described. But it's worth it just for the view and the great lighting of the buildings. And also the food was very tasty and the staff and the musicians were great.

Daniel was our driver and what a wonderful young man he is! Very knowledgeable and a great personality. He was very helpful finding a toilet for me and helped my husband in and out of the tuk tuk with his mobility issues. He really went out of the way for us, it made a huge difference for us and a wonderful two hour tour! You can not go wrong with Daniel and his electric tuk tuk service!

Our night cruise was superb! A calm, nice experience on the river Danube. We were lucky enough to enjoy the sunset as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. While we were waiting for the boarding one of the kind staff members (think his name was Chris) kept us informed and entertained as well. Very witty guy!

Great way to see Budapest in 2 hours. Peter is a native of the city and was very knowledgeable and provided interesting information. He tailored the ride to meet our requests.
Yves L.
The boat trip was very cheap and for 70 mins I found this good value. There was loud music playing and a bar selling alcohol, cocktails, soft drinks, as well as pizza. I would recommend this trip, but NOT to families. The boat was full of groups of men and stag do’s who were loud and lively. I feel it would not be appropriate for a family trip. But it was a great ride and a way to see the sights
Kate
The cruise was very enjoyable and seeing the beautiful buildings on the Danube all lit up was breathtaking. Service was very good. The ship itself was pretty nice. Food was pretty mediocre. Overall enjoyable.
Helena Þ.
The sightseeing cruise itself was OK. However it was unnecessary to wait in a huge queue in a sidewalk just beside a street with very high car traffic. Everyone in the queue already had a ticket. Why not allow people get on board and wait for departure inside the boat?

Highlights of Budapest covered beautifully! Guides were knowledgeable and courteous - would highly recommend for anyone wanting to see Budapest!

This is a great whistle stop tour of Budapest. Our guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable and having done the job for 9 years knew the ropes. He took us to all the main sites and explained the history etc. He was not just knowledgeable but also had a good sense of humour. We were thoroughly happy with this tour and would highly recommend. As we ended our trip at lunchtime Peter even recommended a restaurant and ai have to say that it was the best meal of our visit.

We had a fantastic time with three couples and three Tuk Tuks for our day exploring in Budapest with the Tuk Tut tour. The guides were all fantastic and we were able to see some amazing sights and learn more about each place we visited. They were highly knowlegable and just great guys also!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a tuk tuk tour in Budapest?
A TukTuk tour in Budapest is a unique and exciting way to explore the city. With a private driver at the wheel, you'll cruise through charming backstreets, scenic hills, and hidden viewpoints that aren’t easily accessible by bus or car. It’s an open-air experience that’s especially magical in the evening, when Budapest lights up and the wind rushes through your hair.
How much should a tuk tuk ride cost in Budapest?
TukTuk rides in Budapest are typically offered as private guided tours, not standard transport. Prices vary depending on duration and route, but most tours cost between €40 and €80 per hour per vehicle (which can usually seat 2–3 people). It's best to book in advance or ask for the exact rate before starting.
What are the disadvantages of tuk tuks in Budapest?
While TukTuk tours are fun and scenic, they do have some downsides:
Limited comfort compared to a car (especially in bad weather)
Open sides mean exposure to wind and occasional traffic fumes
Higher cost than standard public transport
Less suited for long-distance travel
Limited luggage space
How to negotiate tuk tuk fare in Budapest?
In Budapest, TukTuk rides are typically run by official tour operators with fixed pricing, so there’s usually no room for bargaining. However, if you book directly with a driver on the street or take a longer custom route, you can politely ask if a discount is possible — especially if you're booking a tour for multiple people or several hours.
How safe are tuk-tuks in Budapest?
TukTuk tours in Budapest are operated by licensed guides and are generally safe:
Vehicles are designed for city use and well-maintained
Drivers are experienced and follow traffic regulations
It's still a good idea to secure personal items and dress for the weather, since the ride is open-air
Tours typically avoid busy roads and stick to scenic, low-traffic routes
Are there tuk tuks in Budapest?
Yes, Budapest has modern motorized TukTuks available for sightseeing tours. You can find them near major tourist areas or book online. These tours offer a relaxed, personalized way to see the city’s highlights and hidden gems without the crowds.
