Get to know Denmark’s capital from the water on a 1-hour Copenhagen boat tour through the city’s canals and harbor. This cruise offers an easy way to see many of the city’s best-known landmarks in a short time, with scenic waterfront views along the way.

Make your own way to the departure jetty in central Copenhagen and board the boat at your chosen time. Settle into a seat in the indoor saloon or head to the outdoor deck, then relax as you glide through the city’s picturesque waterways. These canals wind through Copenhagen’s historic center, revealing photo-worthy views around every bend.

During the journey, you’ll pass highlights including:

Amalienborg Palace, the winter residence of the Danish royal family since the 1700s

The Little Mermaid Statue, inspired by the fairy tale of H. C. Andersen

The canals of Christianshavn, known for its cobbled streets, pastel houses, and historic warehouses

Our Saviour’s Church, with its distinctive winding spire

The Copenhagen Opera House, a striking modern building on the waterfront

Slotsholmen, the central island at the heart of the city

With commentary from an onboard guide, this tour is an ideal introduction for first-time visitors looking to experience Copenhagen from a different perspective.

I really liked this boat tour. The guide was knowledgeable with a fun sense of humour. Although a bit difficult to understand at times with how fast he spoke/mic quality. I had heard not to waste time walking to the mermaid. So this was the perfect way to see her and hear some fun facts. Beware though, I read it was heated and it is NOT. It’s a fully open boat lol. My fault for going in Jan but thought my toes would fall off

The tour guide was excellent. Enjoyed the trip but would have been great if the windows were clean so we could take photos.

Great tour on a blustery day, seeing more of Copenhagen from the water that we saw on foot, with a great tour guide.

We got the 4pm canal tour so it was dark which was great. We sat outside and not too cold. Knowledgable host

Great tour! We went in December and it was cold, but there was a nice covered heated area to sit in. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer additional questions. Our kids (ages 11 and 7) had fun and learned a lot about Copenhagen. Even if your kids weren’t interested in the history, there’s lots to look at and you go under a lot of cool bridges.
