Details

On this tour, you will experience how history and culture coexist in the remarkable city of Istanbul.

Our journey begins with the magnificent Hagia Sophia. This famous historical monument in Istanbul embodies a rich heritage of art and architecture. Built in the 6th century, it has served as a Byzantine cathedral, then was converted into a mosque, later a museum, and is now a functioning mosque again.

After visiting Hagia Sophia, we will head to the Blue Mosque — another stunning example of Ottoman culture. Following a stroll around the Hippodrome Square, we will board a boat to breathe in the atmosphere of the Bosphorus.
A traditional Turkish lunch will be served on board.

After disembarking in Balat, we will stop at the Church of St. Stephen, the only iron-clad church in Turkey that has survived since the Ottoman Empire.
While walking through the colorful streets of Balat, we will also visit the Church of St. George and see a fragment of the cross on which Jesus was crucified.

Finally, we were able to visit the palace and enjoy all its beauty. We chose this tour mainly because of the palace. But we were incredibly lucky to have an amazing guide, Naile, with perfect knowledge of the language and even more impressive knowledge of history. We received so much information presented in such an engaging way—it was incredible. You just wanted to keep listening to her. She answered every question and probably told us even more than what was included in the program. In summary, we were absolutely delighted with the tour, and the guide exceeded all expectations in the best possible way. Highly recommended! This tour also included a painting museum that we had long wanted to visit, and I would recommend it as well, especially if you enjoy Aivazovsky’s work. We counted 26 of his paintings, although the internet says there should be more. The museum is large, and to be honest, we didn’t manage to see all of it. The impressions were excellent!

The program matches the description. The only thing was that the tour was conducted in English with a group of foreigners, although it was stated otherwise in the description. However, this was not a problem for me.

The route was very well planned. The guide was outstanding—passionate and deeply knowledgeable about the city, answering any questions, including those about local life. When the tour ended, we didn’t want to part. In half a day, we managed to see and learn a lot. Even though I had заранее studied audio guides and videos, I still learned many new things. The guide was very attentive to elderly participants who couldn’t keep up with the group. We literally walked arm in arm. The route is designed very well—you get to see many places and still have time to rest and take photos. I highly recommend this route, especially if you have limited time to explore Istanbul in depth. It allows you to see the city from different perspectives and truly feel its uniqueness. The transfer from and back to the hotel was organized clearly and professionally.

I liked that they pick you up from the hotel and bring you back. During the trip, there were two guides who talked about the sights we passed and more. The boat itself was of good quality. Each table had a kettle, cookies, and sugar. Drinking water was available upon request in sealed 200 ml cups. On the way back, there was a one-hour stop at the Beylerbeyi pier. It was unclear why this stop was included—there’s nothing to see there, and it felt like a waste of time. You can grab a drink or a snack at a café along the waterfront if needed. Overall, the trip was enjoyable. However, the city is illuminated only when approaching the pier. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side—it was very windy and rainy. Only the bravest guests went up to the open upper deck for photos and videos. Most people stayed inside on the covered lower deck and filmed the city through the windows.

We visited Istanbul’s main mosques and really enjoyed it. The guide was good. However, the boat trip was quite challenging — too crowded, and the tour took place during lunch… if you’re traveling with a child, much of the excursion happens past you. In the future,
