An Oriental Tale

Gedik Paşa Hammam is a traditional Turkish bath built during the Ottoman period. It is not just a place for bathing but a true architectural monument and a living testament to centuries-old traditions. The hammam still operates today, offering an authentic experience to both tourists and locals.

Features of the Hammam

• The men's and women's sections in the city's oldest hammam are separate. Services are provided by spa therapists of the same gender as the guest.
• All guests are offered traditional Turkish refreshments and drinks: sweets, nuts, fruits, coffee, tea, sherbet, and water.
• Towels, disposable kese (scrub mitts), disposable underwear, slippers, and cosmetic products are also provided to visitors.
• All massage rooms in the hammam are private. Only the foam massage is performed during the hammam ritual in the common areas.

Programs

Guests are offered several options with different inclusions.

"Do It Yourself" Program

This includes entry to the hammam and provision of all necessary items without the services of a spa therapist. You can enjoy the procedure on your own after a short demonstration from our spa specialist.

Turkish Hammam in the Men's or Women's Section

Performed by a therapist and includes:
• 15 minutes of relaxation on hot marble stones (göbek taşı),
• 10 minutes of peeling (kese),
• 20 minutes of foam massage.

Hammam with Foot Massage

Performed by a therapist and includes:
• 15 minutes of relaxation on hot marble stones,
• 10 minutes of peeling,
• 20 minutes of foam massage,
• 15 minutes of foot massage.

Hammam with Full Body Massage

Performed by a therapist and includes:
• 15 minutes of relaxation on hot marble stones,
• 10 minutes of peeling,
• 20 minutes of foam massage,
• 30 minutes of full body massage.

Important Info

• Children under 6 years of age are not allowed to enter the hammam.
• Guests under 14 years old may only visit the hammam accompanied by an adult.
• Sessions for children aged 6 to 10 years include a gentler scrub compared to adults and focus on a fun, foamy atmosphere.
• Please bring a change of clothes.
• Smoking, alcohol, drugs, and nudity are prohibited in the hammam.
• A halvet (a private area fully enclosed by a curtain, adjacent to the main hammam) can be added to any program.
