Whole Boka Bay Guided Cruise, Comfortable Ship

Explore the Bay of Kotor on a full-day cruise that combines history, island landmarks, and coastal scenery. From the man-made islet of Our Lady of the Rocks to the legendary Blue Cave, this route takes in fortified towns, swimming stops, and panoramic views along Montenegro’s Adriatic shore.

Details

This full-day cruise operates on a three-deck ship equipped with a bar, restaurant, sunbeds, and showers for passenger comfort. A licensed guide accompanies the tour throughout, providing context on the sites along the way.

Departures are scheduled from Tivat at 09:00 and Kotor at 10:30. The journey begins with a short stop in Kotor, then continues past the coastal town of Perast before arriving at Our Lady of the Rocks—the only artificial island in the Adriatic.

The next stop is a swimming break at the Miriste lagoon, noted for its clear and clean water. During this time, guests may also visit the Blue Cave, where light and water create shifting colours and shadows. The route then passes the Mamula fortress, a historic landmark with distinctive architecture, before heading toward Herceg Novi—known as the city of rocks and mimosas. Here, you can see three prominent fortresses: Forte Mare, Kanli Kula, and Španjola, with time to walk through the old town.

On the return to Tivat, the ship offers views of Porto Montenegro. A paid taxi or tourist bus transfer is available from Tivat back to Kotor at the end of the tour.

Brilliant day out and great value, get to see so much of Kotor bay, staff were friendly helpful and very attentive, shame it doesn't stop in Kotor but not so bad as too many cruise ships make it very busy.

A good value relaxing full day cruise around the bay. Fantastic scenery, a chance to visit Our Lady of the Rocks island and church, to swim in the bay, and to explore Herceg Novi. Perhaps the food options on the lunch menu could be improved but overall a very enjoyable experience.

The best part of the trip was the swim in the Blue caves. On the boat, the trip though 8h didn't feel long at all. From the boat there is always a perfect view with mountains rising up, other boats that pass, and great blue water to see.
