Details

Kotor Boat Tour — Private Bay Experience
Begin your journey from the historic town of Kotor, boarding a private boat for a half‑day exploration of the bay’s most distinctive landmarks. An experienced local skipper will accompany you throughout, offering personalised commentary on the region’s history, culture, and seafaring heritage.

Panoramic View of Perast
As you cruise along the bay, you’ll enjoy a sweeping view of Perast, a small town renowned for its Venetian‑style architecture. From the water, spot the Church of St. Nicholas and the Perast Museum, while the town’s two islets—St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks—frame the coastline.

Lady of the Rocks Island — 20‑Minute Stop
A short docking at Our Lady of the Rocks allows time to visit the 15th‑century church and its adjoining maritime museum. The island’s peaceful setting also makes it a good spot for photographs and a quiet stroll.

Yugoslavian Submarine Base — Tunnel Entrance
One of the tour’s more unusual stops is the former submarine base, constructed during the Cold War under President Tito. Reachable only by boat, the tunnel’s narrow passages once concealed military submarines. Your skipper will share the site’s historical context as you glide inside.

Panoramic View of Mamula Island
Passing Mamula Island, you’ll see the remains of an Austro‑Hungarian fortress that later served as an Italian concentration camp during World War II. The sombre stone structure stands against the clear waters, offering a visual reminder of the island’s layered past.

Blue Cave — 30‑Minute Stop
The tour concludes at the Blue Cave, a sea cave known for its striking blue illumination, created by sunlight reflecting off the white sandy floor. Your boat enters the cave directly, allowing close views of the glowing water. You’ll have time to swim in the calm interior or simply absorb the unusual light effect from onboard.

Throughout the trip, the itinerary remains flexible: as a private tour, you can adjust timings or focus on the sights that interest you most. A welcome drink is served upon boarding, and your skipper is available to answer questions at each stop.

Whether you are new to the area or a returning visitor, this boat tour provides a practical and informative way to experience Kotor Bay’s coastal scenery, historical sites, and natural phenomena in one relaxed outing.

Luca was an excellent guide and picked us up right from our hotel. He suggested getting us right at 8:40am to avoid the crowd and it was the perfect move. Got to the cave with only one other boat and 15 minutes later tons of other boats arrived and got crowed.
