Details

Step away from the busy waterfront and set out on a small-group sunset boat cruise along the Gulf of La Spezia. The coastline lies at the edge of the Cinque Terre, known for its striking shoreline and sea views. As you sail, unwind during golden hour with a glass of prosecco or a beer while taking in the Ligurian coast from the water. This relaxed evening cruise offers perspectives that cannot be seen from land, making it an easy way to end a day of sightseeing. Drinks and snacks are included on board, and the experience fits comfortably into a tight travel schedule.

Discover the Ligurian coastline from the sea, where the views differ from those of any land route. Unwind after a day of exploring as the boat gently follows the coast, passing islands and historic landmarks.

Portovenere

Aperitif on the boat in front of Portovenere, waiting for the sunset. You will be able to take numerous photos of the picturesque houses of Portovenere, admire the majestic church of San Pietro and see the sun setting behind it

Isola Palmaria

Tour of the Palmaria island. We will pass by the marble quarry, at the end. We will approach the Blue Grotto, famous for its crystal clear water and for the rocks which, when hit by the sun, seem to be coated in gold.

Isola del Tino

The island of Tino is a small, uninhabited island on which there is one of the oldest lighthouses still in operation. On the north side of the island we will see the remains of a Benedictine monastery and a WWII bunker. Going around the island of Tino, we will discover another small island, called Tinetto, partly submerged, in front of which stands, in the middle of the sea, the statue of the Madonna Stella Maris, protector of sailors and the inhabitants of the Gulf of Spice

Grotta di Byron

We will approach the Byron Cave by boat, in the bay behind Portovenere, waiting for the sunset. This cave takes its name from the English poet Lord Byron, who used to swim there to meditate and seek inspiration to write his works

Torre Scola

We will pass near Torre Scola, an ancient military fortress built in the middle of the sea on a submerged rock. Torre Scola was built in 1600 and was partly destroyed during the first Napoleonic war.

This experience was both relaxing and invigorating. The setting is so beautiful, and being out on the water is such an elemental experience. Simone was a wonderful host and his knowledge of the islands was fascinating. We stopped at a cove on Palmaria and he took our photos - such a perfect way to capture a perfect experience! I haven't seen my husband so carefree in a long time. Simone provided a generous spread of breads when we stopped at Portovenere at sunset - we couldn't eat it all and took it on our Cinque Terre hike the next day. We were staying in Portovenere so he dropped us off there. Before the cruise, we were shopping in La Spezia and he gave us shopping advice via WhatsApp. It was a fabulous experience and I would recommend it to anyone! We shared the boat with two other couples and a bachelorette party - how fun!!!

Fabulous excursion. Beautiful sights to see on the water, time for a swim too. The sunset didn't disappoint either. The captain was fun as well. Would do again!

The service was wonderful, Simone and his father, as were the views and drinks and snacks! Note-bring towels and something long-sleeve because we got chilly…even in July!
