Details

Take a day trip from Prague to the gruesome bone chapel of Kutná Hora and explore the historic buildings of the medieval town center. During the 6-hour excursion, you will visit all the main sights, including the ghoulish Sedlec Ossuary, and the Gothic masterpiece of St. Barbara's Church.

Thanks to the prosperous silver mines, Kutná Hora became the second most important town of the Bohemian Kingdom in the Middle Ages after Prague. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, the town is full of remarkable late Gothic and Baroque architecture.

Visit the miraculous Church of St. Barbara, the Italian Court (Royal Mint), and the unique Ossuary in Sedlec, where you will also see Bohemia’s oldest Cistercian Monastery. Learn about the Hussite Wars, and explore the boom days when Kutná Hora competed with Prague economically and culturally to become the favorite residence of Bohemian kings.

Absolutely fabulous day.our guide LIYM was so informative and a very nice guide. The day went with military prosition!. Transportation there and back was timed to the minute with no waiting around. Our group had lunch and within minutes we had our table and served in a very busy restaurant!.....

A spectacular trip to see a positively awe-inspiring work of funerary art. The absolute beauty of the works combined with the psychic weight of how they were created is a combination that must be experienced in person.

This was a wonderful historical experience with many interesting sights and an amazing lunch recommended by our guide. Furthermore, I found our tour guide, David, to be knowledgeable and personable. Everything was amazing, but the chapel itself, while very interesting, can also be quite upsetting.

Very enjoyable tour, Adam was very knowledgable and great, he told us a lot of interesting history about both Kutna Hora and Prague. I would recommend this tour, and the restaurant Adam took us to for lunch was also great, serving delicious Czech food.

It's definitely the highlight of our trip in Czech Republic. A very fascinating and enjoyable experience taking the "Harry Porter" train ride down to Kutna Hora. The Bone Chapel is intriguing, and the gothic St. Barbara's is really magnificent. We went on the day with a massive group so our amazing guide, Petra was rather stressed out trying to manage things especially on the overbooked train. Despite that, we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly though so this tour is definitely highly recommended.

Kutna Hora is a beautiful city just outside of Prague, and is well worth visiting. Adam, our tour guide, was very personable and made the trip easy and enjoyable. Great value for money!
