Český Krumlov - Unesco
Our walk will take us past many of the 300-plus well-preserved local historical houses. The town of Cesky Krumlov was the seat of the powerful Rozmberk family. In summer season the tour
includes the entrance fee to Cesky Krumlov castle complex with château, which is the second largest in the Czech Republic after Prague Castle.
In winter season the castle is closed. We invite you to the restaurant for 3 course lunch menu.
Cesky Krumlov castle was founded by the Vitkovec family in the first half of the 13th century. After 1302, it became the mail seat of Rozmberks. The castle was expanded several times and in the 16th century was rebuilt into renaissance chateau. Later, the owners the Eggenberg and Schwarzenberk families made some baroque modifications. Also the chateau´s chapel was rebuilt, masquerade hall decorated and a new manor theater built. The castle´s viewing tower is nice highlight of the city.
