Await your pickup by minivan from your Prague hotel first thing in the morning and then begin the drive north to Saxon Switzerland National Park.

The main stop for both small-group tours and private tours is the Bastei Bridge, for panoramic views of the bridge and local landscape, before walking out along the bridge to experience its scenery.

Traveling back to the Czech Republic, enjoy an á la carte lunch in a regional restaurant in Mezní Louka, with vegetarian and vegan options available.To work off lunch, head to the Tisá Rocks, a picturesque landscape of sandstone rocks that’s known for being a filming location for the "Chronicles of Narnia" movie series. Enjoy a guided walk through its maze of rocks before returning to your Prague hotel.

If you’ve booked the tailored private tour, you can customize the day’s itinerary to add the hike to Pravcicka Gate and/or the boat ride through the Kamenice River Gorges in Bohemian Switzerland.

Our guide Marek from Northern Hikes was absolutely amazing, patient, knowledgeable, and thoughtful in tailoring the experience for our family. The views were stunning, the hikes perfectly paced, and the food was excellent. Marek went above and beyond, capturing great photos and making the day seamless from start to finish. This tour exceeded my expectations. Escaping the city and breathing fresh air was exactly what I needed. The scenery, walks and lunch were all perfect. Our tour guide, Michael was a history guru and made for a seamless trip. With a small group of 8, was lovely to meet people from all over the world. I don’t want to give too much away, but everyone needs to book this tour if they have a spare day in Prague. It’s well worth the money and to see national parks in Germany and Czech Republic. Was an awesome day!!!

A highlight of our vacation!! Guide was wonderful, knowledgeable & friendly; hike was amazing, views breathtaking. Tour well organized, small group was perfect, lunch was delicious! Wasn’t as intense of a hike as we expected but in the end it was about 9 miles over the full day. The last stop on the German side to see the Bastei Bridge is very touristy (which the guide told us ahead of time & if I read about ahead I would have known). So there wasn’t any additional hiking there, but still worth the visit for the views, just thought I would mention. Highly recommend. Loved, loved this day! 5 stars!!

Beautiful scenery. Friendly and knowledgeable travel guide Katya. She was courteous and concerned for our wellbeing. Nice morning snack and lunch was awesome. My only "con" is that it was not as easy as the description led me to believe. My husband is 79 and I am 76. We are fairly fit and exercise regularly, however we found this tour strenuous and could not complete all of it. Other than that, it was wonderful

We really enjoyed the trip! The guide was excellent — he was very friendly and explained almost everything about the places we visited. The hiking part was amazing, especially since it was fall; the scenery was beautiful, and we truly had a great time. It was absolutely worth it!

This was the highlight of my trip. The hikes were challenging but doable, and made the views well worth it. Lunch was at an adorable traditional Czech restaurant and was delicious. Tony,our guide, was well informed on the area and was a joy to spend the day with! Would highly recommend for your trip to the area
