The driver (Vote) was very prompt and very friendly. We chatted on the drive there and back. The van was very nicely equipped for 6 people with lots of space for bags, etc...Once at the Cesky Krumlov, Votje gave us a guided tour of the garden, then we walked down into the castle and the town. Vote recommended some great shops to eat at, and at the end of the day we had about an hour of free time to do some shopping/site seeing. Everybody in our group was blown away by how beautiful Cesky Krumlov was and talked about it entire time we were in the Czech Republic.

Patrick was so awesome! He was very layed back and fun! He knew his history of there area and architecture and made the tour very interesting. He was very kind and gave us recommendations on other restaurants, beer and activities to do while in Prague. We had champagne on the boat while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The boat was very well cared for. It was intimate to be on a small boat and to be able to travel down the small canals that the bigger boats are unable to do.

Prague is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture attract millions of visitors each year. While there are plenty of Prague tours available, private tours offer a more personalized and exclusive experience for travelers. Private tours allow you to customize your itinerary, explore hidden gems, and have the unpided attention of an amazing tour guide. In this article, we'll explore the benefits of private tours in Prague, the types of tours available, and tips for a successful private tour.

Benefits of Private Tours in Prague

One of the primary benefits of a Prague private tour is the ability to customize your itinerary. With a private tour, you can choose the sights and attractions you want to see, as well as the pace of the tour. This flexibility is particularly useful in crowded areas like the Old Town Square, where a private walking tour can help you avoid the crowds and get a more intimate look at the city.

Another advantage of a private tour is the personalized attention you'll receive from your private tour guide. Your guide can offer insights into the city's history and culture that you may not get on a larger group tour. Additionally, a private tour guide can take you to hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path locations that you may not discover on your own.

Finally, private tours offer the opportunity for unique experiences. For example, you can take a Prague private tour of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, a stunning natural wonderland just outside the city. Or, you can book a food and drink tour to sample some of the city's famous cuisine and beer. Whatever your interests, a private tour can help you create unforgettable memories of your time in Prague.

Types of Private Tours in Prague

Prague private tours offer a wide range of experiences that cater to different interests and preferences. Here are some of the most popular tours:

  1. Walking Tours: Prague's compact size and beautiful architecture make it an ideal city to explore on foot. A private walking tour can take you through the city's ancient streets and squares, including the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle.
  2. Food Tours: Prague is famous for its cuisine, and a food tour is a great way to sample local dishes and drinks. You can try traditional Czech cuisine, beer, and wine at local pubs, restaurants, and markets.
  3. Castle Tours: Prague Castle is one of the city's most popular attractions, and a private tour can give you a more in-depth look at this magnificent city landmark. You can also visit other castles in the region, such as the Karlstejn Castle.
  4. Day Trips: If you have time to spare, you can take a private full-day tour from Prague to nearby destinations, such as Cesky Krumlov, Kutna Hora, or the Bohemian Switzerland National Park.

Finding the Right Private Tour

When choosing a Prague tour, it's important to find the right provider who can offer you a personalized experience. Here are some additional tips to help you find the right private tour:

  • Look for a local expert: A private guide who is from Prague or has lived there for a long time can offer a unique perspective on the city's history, culture, and hidden gems.
  • Consider the itinerary: Make sure the tour provider's itinerary matches your interests and preferences. If you're interested in Jewish history, forexample, look for tours that include a visit to the Jewish Cemetery.
  • Check for special offers: Many Prague tour providers offer special deals or discounts, such as early bird pricing or group rates. Be sure to check for these offers before booking your tour.
  • Research day trips: If you're interested in exploring the Czech Republic beyond Prague, look for providers who offer day trips from Prague to destinations like Cesky Krumlov, the Strahov Monastery, or the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial.

Tips for a Successful Private Tour in Prague

Once you've found the right private tour provider, here are some tips to help you make the most of your tour:

  • Be open to new experiences: A private tour can offer a personalized and unique experience, so be open to exploring places or trying activities you may not have considered before.
  • Ask questions: Your private guide is a local expert and can offer insights and historical facts that you may not have learned otherwise. Take advantage of their expertise and ask questions throughout the tour.
  • Take breaks: Private tours can be tiring, so be sure to take breaks to rest, eat, and drink water throughout the tour.
  • Give feedback: If you have any feedback or concerns about the tour, be sure to share them with your guide or tour provider. This can help them improve their service for future customers.
  • Enjoy the personalized attention: With a private tour, you have the unpided attention of your guide, so take advantage of this opportunity to learn as much as you can about this amazing and ancient city.

Conclusion

Prague is a city that offers a wealth of history, culture, and hidden gems waiting to be explored. Private tours in Prague can provide a unique and personalized way to discover this amazing city, with a local expert who can offer insights and historical facts that may not be found in guidebooks. Whether you're interested in exploring the Lesser Town, learning about Jewish history, or embarking on a day trip to Kutna Hora or wine country, there is a Prague private tour that can cater to your interests and preferences.

With a private tour, you can have a personalized experience with a local expert who knows the city inside and out. You can visit places that are off the beaten path and gain a deeper understanding of the country and its people. Even if you have just one day in Prague, a half-day or full-day private tour can provide a great experience that you will remember for years to come.

Exploring Prague with a private tour can also offer an opportunity to connect with locals and gain a deeper appreciation of the city and its culture. With personalized attention and the ability to ask questions and learn from a local expert, a private tour can be a great way to immerse yourself in the world of Prague.

In conclusion, Prague private tours are a fantastic way to explore this amazing city and discover its hidden gems. Whether you're a first-time visitor or have been to Prague many times before, a private tour can offer a unique and personalized experience that is sure to enrich your visit to this wonderful part of Europe.
