Board the SL public ferry and travel through the Stockholm archipelago toward Vaxholm. Listen to tales of local island life and discover why Vaxholm is known as the “gateway to the archipelago.” Enjoy panoramic views of waterfront scenery, islands, boats, and traditional Swedish coastal landscapes.

Upon arrival in Vaxholm, follow your guide on a relaxed walking tour through the town. See the picturesque harbor, historic streets, and colorful wooden houses. Hear stories about old fishing life, maritime trade, Vaxholm’s role in defending Stockholm, and local culture, architecture, and island lifestyle.

During the walking tour, stop for a traditional Swedish fika—fresh coffee or tea with a classic Swedish pastry, such as a cinnamon or cardamom bun. Learn about the cultural importance of fika in Swedish daily life and why it is such a cherished tradition.

After fika, board the ferry back to Stockholm. Enjoy the stunning archipelago scenery, take photos, and ask your guide any final questions. The tour concludes back at Blasieholmen.
