A must to do when visiting Stockholm. Just outside the city, you'll have the opportunity to spend a few hours kayaking around the local archipelago less than hour outside of Stockholm. Our guide was super friendly and helpful throughout the tour. Even with the cloudy skies, the tour was still great soaking up the scenery. I had a single Kayak. No experience necessary - you do get a good workout. Others on the tour had a double Kayak. The fika stop/ break on one of the islands was a nice break to rest with light appetizer snack / drinks provided. Highly recommend the tour!

we had such an amazing day out on the water! samuel, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and was sure to tell us all about the history of the archipelago. he was also sure to make sure we were all able to keep up and enjoy the kayaking itself-our group had all levels of kayaking experience and noone was left behind or struggling at all. the fika was fantastic. we pulled up onto a little island and all set up a lovely little picnic and explored for about an hour. i can't recommend this tour highly enough-if i end up returning to vaxholm or stockholm i will absolutely be doing this tour again!

We had a wonderful time kayaking. Sam was a superb guide and planned a great route for us. He gave us kayaking tips, told us relevant geographical and historical information about the area, and pointed out interesting sights. Lunch on an island was a great break. Excellent way to get out of the city and get a different experience in Sweden. After the tour we used the sauna on site (additional cost and need to ask if it is available, but well worth it!) which helped ease the muscle aches.

This is a fun excursion outside of Stockholm! Fortunately, the weather was absolutely perfect. I, unfortunately, was feeling very unwell the day of the tour, but the guide was so kind and tried her best to make me as comfortable as possible. There are toilets onsite, but basically port-a-potties. I’m not sure if the description on Viator mentions an opportunity for sauna, but I was not prepared for this as everyone else on the tour was (they all came with swimsuits and towels), so I missed out on the sauna part. Also the pickup spot listed on Viator is incorrect. The kayaking itself was lovely!

This tour was such a highlight of my trip! Carl was an exceptional guide - professional, kind, and made the whole experience both safe and fun. The kayaking route was stunning, and sharing a Swedish fika on a quiet island was such a memorable touch. I felt both adventurous and at peace. A perfect balance of nature, culture, and connection.

If you are lucky with weather, September is a great time for kayaking. Less traffic on the archipelago and possibility for private tour. Couldn’t have wanted a better tour guide than Sam. Fika on the rocks was also nice.

Amazing time! Did the half-day kayak with Carl as our tour guide. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! The small group was great- everyone very friendly. Really enjoyed the stories Carl shared about life in Sweden! Pick-up and drop-off in Stockholm was easy. Directions were clear. Fika lunch was delicious! If you’re looking for a fun, well organized kayak tour, this is it! Thank you for the lovely experience!
