2-hour Stockholm Archipelago Boat Tour

Discover the Stockholm Archipelago on a 2-hour boat tour from the city center. With an English-speaking guide, you’ll explore island landscapes like Fjäderholmarna and Tegelön, while learning about local traditions, the Swedish royal family, and the area’s rich history.

Details

Explore the Stockholm Archipelago on a boat tour departing directly from the city center. You’ll leave from Skeppsbron, next to the Gustav III Statue, and follow a route through some of the roughly 30,000 islands that make up this unique coastal landscape.

Throughout the journey, your English-speaking guide will share stories about the sights you pass, the boat itself, the Swedish royal family, and local traditions. The commentary adds context to the natural beauty unfolding around you.

Highlights of the tour include Fjäderholmarna and Tegelön, two well-known islands that showcase the archipelago’s varied terrain. While it’s not possible to see all 30,000 islands in one outing, this two-hour tour offers a strong sense of the region’s character and scale.

The tour runs once per day, so advance booking is recommended to secure your place. Plan ahead to ensure you don’t miss this chance to experience the Stockholm Archipelago by boat.

Exactly as advertised: a boat tour around the archipelago. Scenery was beautiful but the best part was our guide. Joanes did a great job presenting Swedish history, geography, and keeping us interested. He was so friendly and helpful and offered recommendations for shopping and restaurants, too!

We had a great team (Issa, Marika and Viggo) on the boat who made everything run smoothly. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, answering questions throughout and finding ways to keep people engaged. We were lucky to have sunny, warm weather which really helped make the scenery pop!

The route was lovely and the guide was very informative and entertaining. They left plenty of time for you to absorb your surroundings in silence. It was very cold and we sat outside, but they provided blankets to keep us warm. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the cruise around the islands of Stockholm. While the boat was quite crowded, everyone did have a seat, though you may need to share a table. The commentary was excellent and very informative. The facilities were clean, and the activity was well organised from start to finish. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of providing paper towel so passengers could keep the large picture windows free of fog, which made a real difference to the experience. A great way to see the archipelago and learn more about the area. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
