Lots of people and very short outing unfortunately... very limited choice of drinks and we're not sure if it would have been worth the extra price... the guides were very cool and they were able to tell us interesting things

Amazing experience- brilliant guides!! Best thing we did in Amsterdam. Only thing I would say is to more clearly warn people that there are no toilets on the ticket listing page, so they can make sure to go beforehand.

I really enjoyed the experience — everything was wonderful, except for the 30-minute wait in line to board the boat. However, the host and the captain completely made up for the delay. Their friendliness, humor, and engaging style were beyond anything I’ve experienced anywhere else. They shared so much interesting information in a fun way that truly elevated the whole trip to another level. Definitely five stars,

FAQ

Are there restrooms on board the Amsterdam canal cruise with drinks?
No, there are no toilet facilities on the boat — this is an important detail to plan for. Several guests have flagged this, so make sure to use the restroom before you arrive at the meeting point. The cruise lasts one hour, and there are no stops along the route. Public restrooms are available near the departure point at Prinsengracht 263, so give yourself a few extra minutes before boarding.
Are pets allowed on the Amsterdam boat tour with drinks?
Yes — dogs are welcome on board, which is a nice perk if you're exploring Amsterdam with your four-legged companion. The boat accommodates up to 18 guests in a relaxed, open setting, so well-behaved dogs fit in comfortably. If your dog is nervous around water or crowds, you may want to consider whether the experience will be enjoyable for both of you.
What should I wear on the canal cruise in Amsterdam with unlimited drinks?
There's no dress code, but dressing for the weather is essential since the boat is open-air. The organizer specifically recommends bringing warm clothing, sunscreen, and a sun hat depending on conditions. Even on sunny days it can feel cool on the water, and evenings get noticeably colder. The crew provides blankets and umbrellas on board for added comfort, but having your own layers will make the experience more enjoyable throughout.
What is the best time of day to take the Amsterdam canal cruise with drinks?
The cruise runs multiple times daily, with slots from mid-afternoon through late evening. Sunset and evening sailings are especially popular — guests frequently single out the later departures for the changing light and atmospheric views of the canal houses after dark. The 20:00 and 21:15 slots let you experience both sunset and nighttime Amsterdam from the water. Keep in mind that during peak season, departure times may be slightly delayed due to heavy canal traffic, so build in a small buffer if you have evening plans afterward.
Can I bring my own food and drinks on the canal cruise?
Outside food and drinks are not mentioned as permitted, and the cruise is designed around optional on-board drink and snack packages. You can choose the unlimited drinks option — which includes beer, wine, cocktails, and soft drinks — and add a bites package for snacks. If you have specific dietary needs or preferences, contacting the organizer in advance is the best approach to find out what's available and whether any special arrangements can be made.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the Amsterdam boat cruise?
The cruise operates in most weather conditions. The crew comes prepared with blankets and umbrellas to keep guests comfortable during rain or wind. That said, the boat is open-air, so you will be more exposed to the elements than on an enclosed vessel. Dressing warmly and bringing a waterproof jacket is the best way to stay comfortable regardless of conditions. If extreme weather forces a cancellation, the organizer's 24-hour cancellation policy would apply — but this is rare.
Is the Amsterdam canal cruise suitable for children?
Yes, children are welcome. Tickets are available for kids aged 3–11 at a reduced rate, and infants aged 2 and under ride for free. The one-hour duration is manageable for younger passengers, and the live commentary from the skipper and crew keeps things engaging. Just keep in mind that there are no restrooms on board, so make sure little ones visit the bathroom before departure. If you're opting for the unlimited drinks package for adults, the relaxed atmosphere still works well as a family-friendly outing.
