Piece together the history of Operation Market Garden with a local expert and lots of old photographs on this 2-day tour of some of the most important World War II sites in the Netherlands. Starting from Amsterdam or Eindhoven, you’ll follow in the footsteps of the ground troops from Belgium on “Hell’s Highway”, and discover the battlegrounds around Nijmegen and Arnhem with a visit to the Airborne Museum at Hartenstein.

Day 1 From Joe's bridge to Grave

We will follow the ground troops from Belgium on "Hell's Highway"

• Nijmegen

The area around Nijmegen will be the destination at day 1, having visited the Son and Grave bridges and seen many significant Market Garden sites

Day 2 Nijmegen and Arnhem

• Nijmegen

We will further explore the battle grounds of Nijmegen and its bridge

• Airborne Museum at Hartenstein

We will end our tour with an extensive exploration of the Arnhem battle grounds including the bridge, drop zones, the airborne museum and the Oosterbeek perimeter
