Details

Meet your guide at a central Amsterdam location and travel by comfortable coach into the Dutch countryside.

Your first stop is Zaanse Schans, home to iconic working windmills and historic wooden houses. Learn how windmills shaped Dutch industry while enjoying time to explore and take photos.

Continue to Edam, where you will visit the historic cheese market square and stroll through the town’s quiet streets and canals. Near Volendam, stop at a traditional cheese farm and clog workshop to learn about Dutch craftsmanship and enjoy cheese tastings.

In Volendam, enjoy free time along the harbor to explore the village, browse shops, or sample local seafood. The final stop is Marken, a former island known for its wooden houses, narrow lanes, and authentic village atmosphere.

The tour ends near A’DAM Lookout. Guests who book the optional canal cruise will continue with a one-hour cruise through Amsterdam’s historic waterways, finishing at Central Station.

The tour of the three small towns was great. Fun to see them all and the guides were great. The canal cruise was fun and informative but the captain was a total jerk to the people on the boat and swearing loudly at another boat driver.

Our guide Pia was great with information and her personality kept us entertained the whole time. I enjoyed walking through Zaanse Schans and Edam. But Volendam was really nothing more than a lunch pitstop. Marken was advertised but was told it wasnt going to be part of the tour anymore, so to set expectations, take it out on the itinerary.

Great tour, our tour guide Ilia was very knowledgeable and helpful. We couldn't visit Markan on the day unfortunately , but I Can't wait to come back and explore more of this amazing city
