Details

Meet your guide and fellow travelers at a central location near Amsterdam's Central Station and head out to Giethoorn as a group. Watch the city turn to countryside as you get further away from Amsterdam, passing by dams and bucolic scenes as your guide provides narration.

Once you reach Giethoorn, you'll board a cruise for an hour-long trip through the town, passing through canals and alongside old homes and structures as you learn about the village's history. After your boat ride, you’ll have the option to grab lunch (at your own cost) before making your way back to Amsterdam as a group.

Giethoorn
Giethoorn is typically referred to as ‘Venice of the North’. As cars aren’t allowed, transportation is traditionally on foot, by bike, or by boat. The village is adorned with stunning farmhouses and picturesque bridges that will leave you in awe.

A highlight of this tour is a 1-hour boat ride through the enchanting canals that meander through the village. You will be treated to breathtaking views of the Dutch countryside and learn about the rich history of craftsmanship and the fascinating secrets of Holland.

This was an excellent trip, the tour guide was extremely polite and knowledgable and told us all about the culture and history of the area. When we arrived we took a long boat ride through the village which is only accessible via boat. Lots of bridges, beautiful homes and luxurious landscaping. There were several options for us to get some lunch and free time to walk around and explore before going back to the city.

Relaxing and informative tour to see a unique part of the Netherlands. Well organised, with good communication and a small group.

Excellent tour! Ibrahim is an excellent guide full of knowledge regarding Netherlands which clearly explained to all of us. It's very clear he loves his job as a tour guide! Giethoorn is a beautiful town! The canals, the cottages, and flowers give the town a peaceful and romantic vibe! I highly recommend visiting Giethoorn!
