Details

Meet your group in central Amsterdam and board your comfortable coach for this Bruges day trip from Amsterdam. Relax on your journey through the countryside as you make your way to Bruges, one of Belgium’s most idyllic destinations.

Your guide will offer highlights, information, and a general city overview before setting you loose to explore the quaint streets, lace shops, and chocolate stores of Bruges. You’ll have plenty of time to explore destinations like the Begijnhof — a collection of white houses that was once home to widowed women and today is run by Benedictine nuns. See a vial of Christ’s blood at Heilig-Bloedbasiliek and admire the architecture of Markt and Burg squares.

You’ll have time to see locals demonstrate the age-old tradition of lace making or take a cruise along the canals. You can also opt for a guided walking tour of the city. When your time in Bruges comes to an end, you’ll return to Amsterdam aboard your coach.

Brugge is lovely .I think the tour should start a hour earlier since it takes 3.5 hrs to get there to give you more time to see some of the sights. Tour guide Ian was delightful and knowledgeable.

Valt got us there and back safely. And Ian was a great tour guide. He gave plenty of good recommendations about chocolate, beer and food.

Bruges is worth the long drive, which flew by because you’re driving through a foreign country—much to see.

The trip was punctual, well organized, fact filled and thoroughly enjoyable. Plenty of free time to explore on your own. Ian is a talented guide who is passionate about his work. Pete, our driver, kept us safe and on time. Long ride but worth it. Bring snacks and drinks for the ride.

Our day trip to Bruges was fantastic! Everything was perfectly on schedule, with no delays in the bus timings, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We had plenty of time to explore the beautiful town on our own, which was a huge plus. My only minor suggestion for improvement would be the commentary. While our guide was skilled at switching between English and Spanish, it was a bit jarring and hard to follow when they switched languages with every sentence. I'd recommend sticking to one language per sentence or paragraph to make the information easier to absorb. Overall, it was a great tour and I would highly recommend it!

A very good tour. Ian the guide and Richard the driver were amazing. Ian was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable - you could tell he loved his job. It is a long bus ride - 3+ hours - but there is plenty of time to enjoy beautiful Bruges.

Comfortable ride in to Bruges - really enjoyed exploring on our own. The weather was perfect for dining outside and strolling. Alex was a great tour guide and Sandra was an excellent driver.

Excellent day trip. Ian gave wonderful information about the Netherlands, Belgium, Bruge, and many other things with humor and intelligence in two languages. His restaurant and chocolatier recommendations were helpful. The introductory walking tour was informative and well-paced. If you don’t have some sights planned on your own you might feel like the free time is too much. Do some research. Have a plan.
