Amsterdam Evening (Sunset) Canal Cruise without a drink

Experience Amsterdam’s canals after sunset on a relaxed evening cruise. Glide beneath illuminated bridges and past historic landmarks while learning about the city through multilingual digital guidance.

Details

Discover Amsterdam in the evening as the city’s canals and bridges glow with thousands of lights. As the sun sets, enjoy a calm cruise through the waterways and beneath beautifully illuminated bridges.

Your English-speaking skipper will guide the journey, and a free digital booklet with informative commentary is available in German, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Italian, and English.

The departure point is located in front of Amsterdam Central Station. Look for the dark green beach flag and staff wearing dark blue “Eco Boats” clothing, or spot the brand’s modern electric boats.

Depending on weather conditions, the cruise takes place on an open, partially covered, or fully covered boat to ensure comfort throughout the trip.

Along the route, admire the Canal Belt (Grachtengordel) with its illuminated bridges, pass the Schreierstoren at Oosterdok, the Skinny Bridge (De Magere Brug), the Dancing Houses, and the Amstel River, while enjoying the city’s peaceful and atmospheric nighttime scenery.

We had an incredible time, Emma our captain was knowledgeable, interested and so funny. She made the trip extremely memorable and possibly the highlight of my trip. She was interested in where we all came from and gave us very interesting insights into Amsterdams history. She was a treat.

Timon was a fabulous host! He cracked jokes while educating us on Amsterdam’s history. The cruise was clean and the drinks were nice and cold. The blankets were a nice touch. We had a great time - definitely go at sunset!!
