Sagrada Familia: Skip-the-Line Ticket
Take a 1.5-hour guided tour of Gaudi's masterpiece to make your visit to the Sagrada Familia immemorable. Take in the Basilica's dreamlike exterior and interior on a private tour or in a small group with a knowledgeable guide.
You will learn about the ongoing construction, the anticipated completion date and how generations of artisans, architects and artists were educated to realize Gaudi's vision.
Before proceeding to the Basilica's entrance, your guide will meet you outside and begin the tour with a brief introduction. After passing through security, learn all about the Nativity Façade, the Basilica's first completed part.
You will then enter the Sagrada Familia's interior. Admire the world created by the stained-glass windows' intensely colored light and the ceiling's branch-shaped columns.
Gaudi wanted the interior to feel and look like a walk through the woods, with the light sifting through the leaves of the forest.
You will be informed about the Passion Façade, which depicts the crucifixion of Jesus, as you exit the Basilica. Through the tower's stark and angular sculptures the drama of the Passion will be vividly revived. Like the most of the Sagrada Familia, this façade was constructed after Gaudi's death.
Next, visit the Sagrada Familia Schools, which are for the children of those who worked on the Sagrada Familia. Learn how it was rebuilt multiple times and even relocated to make room for the Basilica.
Your final stop will be the Sagrada Familia Museum, where your guide will show you original plans and sketches that show how complicated Gaudi's vision and architecture were. Artifacts from Gaudi's life and the history of the Basilica, such as his upside-down model can also be found here.
