Details

Step into the most iconic work of Antoni Gaudí on a 1h 30min guided tour of the Sagrada Familia. With an official local guide, skip-the-line entry, and a personal radio-guide system, this visit offers a smooth and well-organized way to discover one of Barcelona’s most visited landmarks.

The tour begins outside, where you can admire the basilica’s vertical design and the height of its still-rising towers. Your guide will explain the symbolism of the two main façades: the Nativity Façade, which is bright and detailed, and the Passion Façade, which is more austere and angular. These two sides offer different interpretations of the same story in stone.

With skip-the-line access, you then enter a stone forest of 36 tree-like columns beneath a vault filled with stained-glass light. The colors shift across the interior, with yellow, blue, and green tones on the Nativity side and orange and red on the Passion side, creating a changing atmosphere throughout the visit.

The tour runs daily with one morning slot and two afternoon slots. The morning departure is the newest option and typically accommodates a slightly larger group of up to around 20 participants, while the afternoon departures usually run with smaller groups.

Our tour guide, Berta, was extremely knowledgeable and easy to follow. Her explanations about Familia Sagrada enhanced the experience. Have been there before and now I feel that I understand the thinking behind the architectural design. Bravo Berta

Bertha, our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was good but the price was too much for what it is.

Robert was an excellent guide. Super friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. The 3pm tour was the perfect time to see the stained glass windows color the interior of the Sagrada Família. Highly recommend!

The tour guide was very well-informed and the tour was worth it. I am glad I took the tour instead of exploring by self.

Our guided tour of the Sagrada Família was absolutely phenomenal. The cathedral itself is breathtaking, but our tour guide made the experience truly unforgettable—funny, energetic, and full of fascinating stories that brought Gaudí’s vision to life. She had an incredible ability to explain the symbolism, architecture, and history in a way that was both informative and engaging. Her enthusiasm was contagious, making every moment feel lively and special. It was one of the most memorable tours of our trip, and I would highly recommend a guided visit to fully appreciate this extraordinary masterpiece.
