The Széchenyi Bath is the largest thermal spring bath complex not only in Budapest but in Europe as well. It was built in 1913 in a Neo-baroque style. At the time it opened its baths were private, having separate steam baths for men and women, as well as different public baths for men and women.

But the experience doesn't end at the spa; it extends into the heart of Hungarian culture with tasting options inside the Hungarian Gastro Cellar. After your rejuvenating day at the spa, venture into the city center to savor the flavors of the “Hungarian spirit”. We believe that a nation can be truly known through its cuisine, discover Hungary's drinks with us: choose between 1cl of pálinka or 2x0.5dl of wine (one white — one rosé) complimentary tasting.

Reserve your Széchenyi Thermal Spa & Gastro Cellar combo ticket now for the perfect blend of relaxation and cultural discovery.

We had a lovely afternoon just chilling. The sauna was really hot but the steam room was just right. After flying and travelling on Friday afternoon and an early museum start on Saturday morning this was just the thing. Relax in warm waters and even have a drink if you like. I could have easily gone to sleep. We didn't book any treatments but they looked value for money.

Good value for money, made it super simple to get into the spas. Wasn’t able to make the testing unfortunately but it was in a good area. I would recommend going in peak summer, will be busy but it was overcast the day we went so didn’t stay as long as we could have on a sunny day

Great place to visit whilst visiting Budapest even in the cold of winter. While this is a day pass I believe you may have to stay within the baths to obtain this (I may be wrong) while leaving we had to hand our wrist bands back. A cafe is located in the baths. Outdoor baths were amazing but if you like to achieve cleanliness I wouldn’t recommend the indoor thermal suite as there was a let me say horrible smell. The sauna was also amazing to visit.

Our first time visiting the Baths and we loved it. It was a Friday afternoon so it was quite busy but we managed to find a lounger and have a dip in the pools. I would highly recommend getting a cabin, they were great for getting changed in and easy to leave your belongings. We didn’t make it to the Palinka Tour, however the baths are a must see in Budapest!

The thermal baths were amazing, our favourite was the outside ones but we wished both of them were hot as the one with the seating in the middle and the current was cooler and we would have wanted to sit in it longer if it was as lovely and hot as the other outdoor one. Don’t bother with the Palinka museum, we decided to go as it was only a few feet from our hotel and we had some time to kill before going to the airport. It was very underwhelming, the interactive stuff would have been good if it had worked! The barman was lovely and we enjoyed chatting to him while we tasted some Palinka, which we did not enjoy!

We stayed in Pest and got the metro to the baths which was really easy. When we arrived the instructions given were straight forward on how to get access. The baths did not disappoint, I was with a group of friends, 15 in total. It was a beautiful day, very relaxing and couldn’t believe how many baths there is inside. The time flew, we arrived at 11am and left a 4.30 pm. The sun was out and just enjoyed the whole day. Definitely a must do on your last day to relax after doing lots of walking and Segway tour.

We walked from the city centre which took around 30 minutes, we then showed our ticket and we then had access to the spa the full day. I would recommend getting a room to get changed as this isn’t much of an extra cost. Drinks and food inside are not overly expensive however it can be difficult to find a bed so I would recommend going early.

The spas are relaxing after a morning of sightseeing . We did have an issue with our voucher . The number was already used and my name showed as being used that day already. The clerk believed me and worked to resolve ( it did take a good 30 mins of our planned spa time though

We have visited the spa once before, however using definitely sped things along when we arrived. A fair price, and a great experience … didn’t have the time for the additional Palinka Tour, which would have been good, but maybe next time. Highly recommend

Overall the baths were very enjoyable and relaxing. We went in late September so it was not nearly as busy as some of the reviews mention in the summer however it was a little cooler and did rain for a bit. Definitely would recommend checking this out
