Join us as we explore the largest indoor market in Hungary, gather fresh ingredients, and then head over to our nearby apartment for a hands-on cooking session and cultural immersion.

We'll start by meeting up at the iconic Central Market Hall of Budapest. From there, we'll take a short walk around the market, chatting about Hungarian history, cuisine, and culture while tasting some of the flavorus of Hungary!

After the Market, we head over to our apartment, where a selection of mouth-watering snacks, like sausages, salamis, dips, and cheeses waiting for us before we get to it!

Then, it's time to roll up our sleeves and get cooking!

Our dishes are tried and true family recipes that have been passed down through the generations and you get to choose what to make:

(Your party can choose one of the following main dishes to prepare.)

The Chicken Paprikash — It's easy, delicious, and super Hungarian!

Beef Goulash Stew — A traditional beef goulash based on our family recipe that will warm your heart!

Hungarian Stuffed Sour Cabbage Rolls — My Grandma's recipe, straight from Transylvania!

Vegetarian Lecso — A hearty and delicious Hungarian dish, perfectly suitable for vegetarians and vegans alike

(We can provide Halal ingredients upon request.)

And of course, wine, palinka and a surprise souvenir is included as well in the tour!

Looking forward welcoming you!

We had an incredible time with George at this cooking class; George has a way of melding the various elements that go into Hungarian cooking perfectly well and creating an experience which we will always remember & cherish. The true meaning of market to table cooking & an experience which anyone (believe me, anyone) can enjoy. I’d like to think that my contribution as the Chief Onion & Tomato slicer was an important one - highly recommend that you book this cooking class on your next Hungarian adventure

It was really cool experience. I really liked that there was both a vegetarian and meat dish. Which was perfect for my husband and I. George is such a sweetheart, he did an amazing job with the tour and cooking class. The meeting location was easy to find and the tour began on time; which was very convenient.

George and Marcel were amazing! It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed learning about Hungarian culture, history, and food! Paprika is such a magical flavor and experiencing the smoky, sweet, and spicy varieties was a very interesting and great learning experience. It was a lot of fun while making a lovely meal with truly amazing people! Thank you thank you!! I highly recommend it for solo travelers and foodies as an intro into Hungarian cuisine and the central market!
