The highlight of the event is an enthralling 20-minute concert with two possible setlists where Nagy's skill will take you to new musical heights, breathing life into the venue. Witness the exceptional fusion of masterful music and wonderful architecture.
The experience doesn't end with the concert; uncover all secrets of the building at your own pace after the show. Visit the treasury that holds wonderful relics such as the Holy Dexter, the mummified right hand of the church's patron, King St Stephen. Head to the panoramic terrace afterwards for the breathtaking view of the city only this lookout provides.
VIP program: what’s included
This VIP program will provide the best seats during the concert and an interesting guided tour full of little known secrets and fascinating legends surrounding the architectural history of the basilica.
During the 45 minutes guided tour, learn about the historical basilica, visit the dome and have a spectacular view to the city from above — all without other visitors after opening hours! After the panoramic terrace, you will have the chance to visit the chapel where Hungary’s most sacred artifact, St. Stephen’s mummified right hand called Holy Right Hand (Szent Jobb) is kept.
Finally, you will head off to the main aisle of the church, where you can admire the architectural, sculptural elements, glass mosaics and much more. The neo-classical St. Stephen’s Basilica is the most remarkable church of Hungary, one of the most significant of tourist attractions and also the third highest building in the whole country.
The program of the concert in this amazing building was adapted by Miklos Teleki who is among the best organ artists in Hungary. The arias of the program are performed by Kolos Kováts, one of the most famous concert and oratorio singers in Hungary. The concert itself is 70 minutes long without intermission and first row seats are guaranteed.
