Concert on the Oldest Working Organ in the City
Join us at a Friday evening concert featuring the gems of centuries of organ music. Come to relax and experience the beauty, passion, and uplifting nature of perfectly written classical music performed by great musicians. Varied solo organ or chamber music concerts are offered in the series depending on the date of your visit. Old Hungarian organ music and pieces composed by Bach, Dubois, Franck, Handel, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Purcell or Vivaldi have all been selected to provide visitors with quality entertainment and lasting experience.
The creative director and main organist of the series is Miklós Teleki, who is an excellent, award-winning Hungarian musician giving about 100 recitals a year. Guest musicians include a wonderful soprano singer, Nóra Ducza, you can listen to the award-winning László Simai playing the trumpet on four occasions, and you can meet another great organist — Tamás Lozsányi — at one recital.
