3-Day Isle of Skye and Black Isle Tour
Take a three-day tour of the Scottish Highlands with a guide and see popular spots like Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye. Spend two nights in Inverness and talk to your guide about the history of this lush region.
Day 1:
We will make a stop at the enigmatic Kelpies on our first short drive north from Edinburgh. Your driver will tell you everything you need to know about the largest outdoor artwork in Scotland, which features mythical creatures from Scottish folklore. After that, we'll continue our journey and come upon Stirling Castle. Learn about Robert the Bruce and William Wallace from your tour guide and be inspired. Your tour guide will tell you about the remarkable tribal clan history of the Highlands as you travel north into the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and take in the stunning scenery. Learn about the tragic past of Glencoe, Scotland's most famous valley, as you admire it and admire it. Take in the stunning Glenfinnan Viaduct before traveling north to the southern banks of Loch Ness to capture Nessie, the infamous monster! Stop for photographs of Urquhart Palace prior to showing up in Inverness, the Capital of the High countries, where you'll remain for 2 evenings, browsing a neighborhood guesthouse, inn, or inn.
Day 2:
After breakfast, leave Inverness and travel to the Black Isle via the Kessock Bridge, where you can take in the stunning scenery of Loch Carron and Achnasheen. When you arrive on the Isle of Skye, head north to see the island's highlights, such as; the famous Quiraing, the Cuillin Mountains, the Old Man Storr, the Trotternish Peninsula, Portree and Kilt Rock. Stop for pictures of "Eilean Donan Castle" Scotland's most beautiful castle, late in the afternoon. This castle, which served as the setting for numerous well-known movies like "Highlander" and "Made of Honor," is another must-see iconic landmark! After that, you'll drive through Glen Shiel and back to Inverness, where you'll spend your final night. In the evening, go to a Highland Pub to eat traditional Scottish fare and drink some Scotch whisky or beer while listening to some local musicians play.
Day 3:
Pay a visit to Culloden Battlefield, then the "Clava Cairns," which are incredible standing stones from the Bronze Age that are 4,000 years old and were the site of the final Jacobite Rising. Make a pit stop at the Highland Folk Museum on your way south. You can live highland life in the 17th century here. Check out the clothing and weapons, the buildings, and the way people lived 300 years ago. Drive through the stunning Cairngorm National Park next. Before going to Dunkeld, a historic village on the banks of the powerful River Tay, you will have the chance to taste Scotch Whiskey. You'll cross the renowned Forth Bridges on your way back to Edinburgh. The anticipated time of return to Edinburgh is around 6:30 p.m.
