Details

Leave Edinburgh and travel west toward the Scottish Highlands, passing Linlithgow Palace — the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots.

Your first stop is the impressive Kelpies Monument, where two giant steel horse heads celebrate the horsepower that fueled Central Scotland’s industrial past.

Continue to the shores of Loch Lomond, Scotland’s largest loch and the heart of the country’s first National Park.

In Balmaha, enjoy a walk along the famous “bonny banks,” take in sweeping views of the mountains, and explore peaceful forest trails once home to Highland folk hero Rob Roy MacGregor.

From here, journey into the Trossachs, known as “The Highlands in Miniature,” where dramatic mountains, shimmering lochs, and thick forests mark the meeting point of the Lowlands and Highlands.

Stop for lunch in Aberfoyle, a charming village surrounded by landscapes that inspired Sir Walter Scott.

Your afternoon continues in Stirling, where you can visit one of Scotland’s most magnificent castles and discover why it played such a pivotal role in the nation’s royal and military history.

After exploring the ancient stronghold, enjoy a relaxed journey back to Edinburgh, passing the Kelpies once more before arriving in the capital.

Very good tour with an entertaining, informative guide, Greggor (his mom should be proud of him 😊), well-planned itinerary and a fun surprise stop! Really enjoyed the castle and the amazing views on the drive. Well organized check-in process in the morning. Highly recommend the company and tour.

I chose this tour over the rest due to the smaller van (less people) and advertised hour at Stirling which was more than enough time for me to run through the castle, get some grave stone rubbings & visit Church of Holy Rude. The day was perfect- perfect weather, did all the things & squeezed a bonus highland cow stop (which I loved) thanks to the Amazing Guide Andrew. He was fun entertaining & easy going A++ highly recommend

Beautiful! Appreciate David for switching the order of the trip to accommodate for the weather. It gave us a fabulous walk along the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomand.

Amazing tour. We only had two days in town and were so happy to spend one of them on this. From the begining it was calm and welcoming, with extremely knowledgable and authentic staff. It never felt "touristy", due to our small group of 8 people and our amazing guide Graham , who was so great. He told us so much about the history, geology, culture, arts, and played well selected music along the route. Perfectly timed stops and lengths of driving in between, so it never felt rushed or boring. 9 hours went by quickly, but was genereally a great length. Would 100% go for a Rabbies tour again, could not recommend enough!
