Take a van on this enjoyable day trip to the Chianti countryside. Visit two of the area's wineries and sample some of the local products. Take your time as you explore San Gimignano's streets and get a firsthand look at this charming town.

You can taste four distinct wines by going straight to a wine-tasting school, including the renowned black rooster Chianti Classico, Brunello of Montalcino, Super Tuscan wines, a balsamic vinegar that is 30 years old, and truffle extra virgin olive oil. Develop your palate with the help of a winemaker.

Move on to a local winery with a view of San Gimignano's famous towers. You can learn the secrets of wine and oil production from the winemakers as they lead you through the vineyards and cellars.

Take advantage of the opportunity to purchase local goods and wine at this winery at a cost that is convenient for you to bring back home or ship to friends and family. Enjoy a Chianti Colli Senesi D.O.C.G. and a glass of Vernaccia white wine in the afternoon.

You can go at your own pace through the narrow streets of San Gimignano. Enjoy gelato from the world-champion ice cream maker as you shop until you drop.

Your estimated travel time from San Gimignano to your destination is one hour and ten minutes at 3:45 p.m. You will return to Florence around 5 p.m.

"This was such a fun experience!! I was a solo traveler and was able to make a bunch of new friends :) we had about 8 people in the group so it felt intimate and special! Our host Ned was so fun and knowledgeable about the area! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I couldn't recommend more! Plus lots of wine, cheese, and meats to eat what more could you want!! :D "

"We loved this tour!!! My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we thought we’d do something different and join a day tour with other young adults - and it was so much fun. Paula was so cute and funny! The first winery we visited was awesome - our host was hilarious and they served a generous amount of wine, olive oil, crackers and the best Balsamic anyone has ever tasted. The second winery wasn’t as generous but it had the most amazing views of the rolling Tuscan hills. The last stop at San...

"This experience was fantastic and well worth the money. It was great since I went in an off-time of the year since our group was rather small, only 14. Both the tour guides/drivers were hilarious and great guides. The first winery/wine school that we went to was a great time, the host/owner was hilarious, and we got to taste so many good wines, olive oils, balsamic, and some finger food. The second place had the most gorgeous view, and the wife of the wine maker who gave us a tour was lovely...

"Such a brilliant day! Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny and kept the journey interesting. The two vineyards we visited were great too, the first was our personal favourite but the second was great for seeing behind the scenes of the production process- both were an excellent opportunity to drink nice wine, have a laugh and get to know the other people on the trip. The free time in San Gimignano was great and we had time for a wonder around and some delicious gelato. It was a great w...

"The first winery was a hands on tasting experience where you learned a lot and was also accompanied by absolutely delicious meats, cheeses, crackers, oils, etc The second was less of an interactive experience but didn’t need to be with the breathtaking view you get to enjoy. The bonus of being able to walk around San Gimignano was beyond awesome, so surreal to walk around a town with so much history. It was also a huge park that our guide, Julia, was amazing company. "

"So much fun doing this tour. It was a perfect amount of time and Ned was a knowledgeable and funny tour guide as well. The first winery we went to was a lot of fun and you could buy wine for yourself and also ship it home if you wanted. We got to try really good olive oils as well. The second winery was also good, we got bruschetta in addition to the wine and it had stunning views. This also had an option for purchasing. The last stop was San Gimignano where we time for some gelato and quick...

"This was an enjoyable day, and it was nice to be able to see the Chianti hills and the San Gimignano village. Also, I met some great people and had a good day. We visited two vineyards. The first was nice since they let us try a lot of wine; however, it felt more like a sales pitch, and we did not see the vines, cellar, or learn much about the process. The second vineyard was fabulous since it was a smaller family-run vineyard with excellent views, knowledge, and wine. The village part was s...

"Such an amazing time on this tour! The first stop is by far the most amazing experience, gorgeous winery with very classy presentation and good wine. The second stop was also great, it was fun learning how wine was made and the views were impeccable! It was only 4 of us in the group and we had so much fun, even ended up linking up later that night for dinner, we got along well had and amazing shared experience to talk about all night. Eduardo was a great tour leader, couldn’t recommend a bet...

"This tour was awesome! Super fun. Our guide Eduardo was amazing. He did a great job of making us all feel welcome and encouraged us to all get to know each other on the tour. You could tell he loves his job which made it that much more enjoyable! We loved learning about the history of the region as we travelled in the car. They took great care of us. Even though my friend and I got lost in town, he went above and beyond to help find us and get us back safely. 10/10 would recommend this tour....

"This was the most fun tour we did in Italy. We had an amazing guide and she was speaking lots of languages! (Sorry i forgot her name, too much wine I guess?). We had nice discussions, made some friends and the two wineries were nice. We liked the first one morr. San Gimignano was stunning and a nice add to our trip. The view of the Toscane region was beautiful even in winter. I had a cold and was hesitant to book but i’m glad i did even if i didn’t taste all the delicacy of the wines. Totall...
