Milan Duomo Cathedral and 2-Hour Rooftop Tour
Meet your licensed guide at Piazza del Duomo and head to the elevator entrance where you will take the elevator up to enjoy an unforgettable experience walking on the roof of the magnificent Duomo Cathedral. The overall size of this Gothic architecture is impressive, and its flying buttresses and white marble make it unique. Climb almost 50 steps to reach the highest level on the roof and get ready to admire stunning views of the Milan skyline, including brand new future skyscrapers. On the roof of Italy’s largest cathedral and one of the largest in the world, you will enjoy breathtaking views of Milan. On a clear day, you will see the Italian Alps, the mountains that separate Italy and Switzerland. Over 3,400 statues and 135 spires are waiting to be discovered, and it is certainly best viewed from above!
End your visit by admiring the golden statue of the Virgin Mary shining brightly at the top of the main spire. Then take advantage of the incredible privilege of skipping the queues at the cathedral and entering without further waiting, directly through the special rooftop entrance (the descent can be made via stairs). Listen to your guide explain the countless statues, decorations and colorful stained glass windows that tireless craftsmen have created over the centuries. Be amazed as you hear stories about the “Holy Nail” from the True Cross of Jesus or the Sundial Path and its zodiac signs.
