Versailles Palace Self-Guided Tour w/ Gardens' Access
From the center of Paris, take an air-conditioned bus to Versailles, where Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette lived until the French Revolution in 1789. On board the bus, your host will be available to answer any questions you may have.
A visit to the Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and symbol of French opulence and royalty, will transport you back to the country's golden age. Admire the magnificent royal chateau, which the "Sun King" Louis XIV converted from a hunting lodge in the 1660s.
You will be able to see the State Apartments of the King and Queen, the Royal Chapel, and the Hall of Mirrors, which are the pinnacle of French opulence, thanks to your audio guide, which is available in eleven languages. The gold-adorned hall is lined with 3505 mirrors, and crystal chandeliers dangle from the ceiling.
After that, visit the famous Versailles gardens, which include access to the Grand and Petit Trianon as well as Marie Antoinette's estate. You will also have the opportunity to see either the Fountain Show or the Musical Garden, depending on the day and option you select. A bus with air conditioning will take you back to Paris after your trip.
