It's like entering a fairy tale when you visit Prague Castle. See the highlights of the castle complex including the Old Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Golden Lane and St. George’s Basilica.

Despite the overwhelming amount of art and history in the castle, your local expert guide will make it easy for you to move around the grounds.

Meet your guide right in front of the Malostranská metro station near the Mánes Bridge. Take the tram up to Prague Castle from there. When you get inside, your tour guide will give you headphones so you can easily hear their commentary all the way through the tour.

Admire the Gothic architecture of St. Vitus. Look for the church's gargoyles on the outside. The Czech artist Alfons Mucha's Art Nouveau stained glass window will totally awe you. Admire the last judgment mosaic from the 14th century.

The chapel of St. Wenceslas, the baroque tomb of St. John of Nepomuk, and the tombs of St. Wenceslas and Charles IV are all worth seeing. Step inside the Old Royal Palace next. The Vladislav Hall's massive vaulted ceiling can be seen from below.

Step inside the room where the Defenestration of Prague took place. The Catholic governors of the Habsburg emperor and their secretary were thrown out of this window by Czech Protestant aristocrats, igniting the Thirty Years' War.

Pay a visit to the St. George's Basilica. The grandeur of the castle is offset by the basilica's stone walls and design. Walk up the double staircase to the location where St. Ludmila's relics are, then examine the fragments of 12th-century frescoes.

Stroll along the Golden Lane. The cottages in this alley were initially constructed for the sharpshooters of the castle, but they later housed goldsmiths. Artists like Franz Kafka lived there in later centuries.

Examine the Golden alley's reconstructed homes and workshops. See how Prague's working class lived in the castle's shadow.

It was possible to book at short notice. However, it was relatively expensive. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable; she responded well to the individual needs of the participants.

The tour was very well organized. Everyone had an audio device so we could understand our tour guides at all times. For a small group, the 18 participants were quite a lot. Our companion was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information and also answered questions in detail.

It was not the guides fault that the Palace was closed for 28th Ochober presidential events. However I could have been informed about this. Our guide,Ina, was excellent.

A fascinating tour of the different corners of the Prague Castle, and for this, an excellent accompaniment by the guide Viera, very entertaining and with a very complete and detailed knowledge. In addition, with the fortune of being of Czech nationality and with an excellent command of the Spanish language.
