Karlovy Lazne
Karlovy Lázně is the largest nightclub in Central Europe, spread across five floors in a historic building dating to the turn of the 15th century, located 100 metres from Charles Bridge. The original mosaic-tiled hallways and walls, and the partially preserved spa pools in the style of Roman baths — now drained and used as dance floors — combine with modern sound and lighting to create the venue's distinctive atmosphere. Each floor plays a different genre: Silent Disco (floor -1), dance and electronic (floor 1, with robotic bar), oldies and retro 50s–70s (floor 2, with a DJ booth in a vintage Cadillac), mainstream hits (floor 3), and R&B and hip-hop (floor 4). The building previously housed public baths, a café, and the editorial offices of journalist Karel Havlíček Borovský. After decades of abandonment and decay, it was converted into a club in the late 1990s. Prague's best-known tourist-oriented nightlife venue — popular with stag parties and interrail travellers; locals tend to prefer smaller venues.
