Meet your guide at the designated meeting point near Amsterdam Central Station and travel by comfortable Mercedes minivan to Giethoorn. Along the way, enjoy views of the Dutch countryside as your guide shares background on the region.

Upon arrival, start with a 1-hour boat cruise through Giethoorn’s historic canals, passing traditional farmhouses, wooden bridges, and peaceful waterways—before larger tour groups arrive. This offers a relaxed introduction to the village and its unique way of life.

After the cruise, enjoy free time to explore Giethoorn on foot. Wander along the canals, take photos, visit local cafés, or, if you prefer, continue exploring with your guide while hearing stories about the village’s history and daily life.

In the late afternoon, return comfortably to Amsterdam Central Station. Optionally, you may choose to be dropped off at Zandvoort aan Zee, with easy train connections back to Amsterdam.

Don’t bother with going on your own or hiring a big bus tour, just book this one. Perfectly timed day with a peaceful boat tour and plenty of time to walk around and explore on our own and have lunch. Took the hassle and stress out of everything. Thank you, Anzi!

Anzi was an amazing guide in Giethoorn! He got us on the canals early, before the crowds, and even took us to quiet spots the big tours don’t visit. It was absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful. If you’re thinking about a large group tour, skip it. A smaller tour with Anzi is 100% the way to go. Highly recommend!

A really lovely village on the canals. Depends on what time of year you go. We went Dec and it was nice and quiet. You have a small electric boat and just glide around the canals taking pictures of the beautiful houses. We also had lunch in a restaurant overlooking the canal. Great meal great service. Don't miss this trip.

Giethoorn was on our bucket list of places to visit, and it totally lived up to the hype. Our guide Anzi made everything so much more special. He knew the inside tricks to avoid the crowds, and even during the high tourist season in August, we almost had Giethoorn to ourselves with very few tourists. We cannot recommend this activity and Anzi highly enough.

Excellent day out with Anzi and other travelers from Singapore and Saudi Arabia. As promised, we avoided the crowds in visiting the charming village of Giethoorn, had a lovely (extended) boat ride on the canals of the village, a delightful lunch, all with the guidance of super tour guide Anzi.
