Exclusive Boat Tour on a Solar-Powered Catamaran

The solar-electric vessel combines the atmosphere of a modern yacht with environmentally responsible technology, allowing you to explore the city without engine noise.

The tour begins at the harbour of Solarwaterworld AG near the Oberbaum Bridge in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district. During the approximately 2.5-hour cruise, you’ll pass a variety of well-known sights visible from the water while enjoying onboard drinks and snacks. Shortly after departure, the boat moves beneath the striking Oberbaum Bridge and continues past the famous East Side Gallery.

One of the distinctive moments of the journey is the lock passage at Mühlendamm, where the Suncat 46 enters the lock before continuing west along the Spree. From the water you’ll see the renowned Museum Island, a UNESCO cultural heritage site, followed by the Berlin government district with the Reichstag and the Federal Chancellery. Soon after, the impressive Berlin Central Station comes into view.

The catamaran continues toward the House of World Cultures—known locally as the “pregnant oyster”—where the vessel turns and begins the return journey to the Solarwaterworld AG harbour.

Instead of a public announcement system, the tour provides an audio guide with commentary in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, and Russian, allowing guests to listen at their own pace while enjoying the quiet surroundings of this solar-electric cruise.
