Details

This cruise combines dinner, live music, and evening sightseeing, with the focus clearly on the onboard experience rather than quiet views. The atmosphere is active and social, shaped by musicians performing throughout the boat and a shared dining setup that keeps things moving. It works best after dark, when Budapest’s illuminated riverbanks create the strongest visual moments—earlier evening departures tend to feel more rewarding. The food is filling but fairly standard, and expectations are safest when you treat dinner as part of the evening, not the main highlight. Seating, service pace, and visibility can vary depending on arrival time and how full the boat is.

The cruise takes place aboard the Gróf (Count) Széchényi. From the river, admire views of the Parliament building, Chain Bridge, Buda Castle, and the Citadel. Live music is performed by members of the award-winning Rajkó Folk Orchestra, featuring a selection of Hungarian and international pieces, with the option to request a song for your group.

menu will be table serviced:
— A served bowl of goulash with mini lángos. (Vegetarian soup substitute available.)
— Welcome drink upon arrival (Prosecco or juice)

Loved every second! The atmosphere was great, the tables were lovely, the food was absolutely fresh, tasty and plentiful and the musicians entertained in every genre with great repertoire. Thank you, we loved it

The cruise was very enjoyable and seeing the beautiful buildings on the Danube all lit up was breathtaking. Music was quite good and entertaining. Service was very good. The ship itself was pretty nice. Food was pretty mediocre but the glass if Champaign was a nice touch. Overall enjoyable.

Lovely boat that had an old fashioned feel about it . Food was good & drinks were decent . The folk band played a good selection of songs . Only downside was our waitress for the evening never showed up after the first 10 minutes . Would do it again next time we visit

The most beautiful boat. With space ahead to watch the trip whenever you wanted - but the actual entry (under all Budapest's differently lit bridges) was breathtaking. Perfect service in every way and absolutely good food. A really nice experience. I have been on several of these evening boat tours - and this was the best.

"Everything was fine, and the food, and the drinks, and the staff. I really liked the dessert.Of course, the walk itself, the views are just great."

Dinner was nothing special. View of the city at night was spectacular, but same could be seen from the river walk.

The only thing I would improve on food and would not do self-service
