This experience was incredible and worth every penny! The only con unfortunately is something out of the cruise operator control but could somehow be addressed with potential guests: the queue jumping. It was very disrespectful. We were 2 and chose the last cruise of the day (08:40 pm), we arrived before 8pm to be able to go in first and chose seats. There were already 6 people in line, divided in 2 groups. As dozens of more people started arriving everybody just started jumping the queue and disrespecting the order of arrival. People who got there before us were thrown to the back of the line and we would have been too if we didn't say anything.
The cruise is beautiful. Hungary at night is a delight. Highly recommended. The location of the dock is kinda out of the main center, our cruise was at 08:40PM and after the cruise at 09:40PM, there was literally nobody around the area, it was kinda scary, try to book a earlier cruise if possible or choose to go to the hotel by taxi if possible. The public transportation line 75 is easily available upon walking 5mins from the dock, but there would be nobody in the area and it is dark.
Best end to my trip in Budapest. Lovely seeing the area when the night lights go up. I'd highly recommend evening/night tours as the city looks more vibrant with the night lights. Easy to find Dock42 but a bit of a walk along the dock so give yourself at least 10mins for a brisk walk or 15mins for a slower stroll to the meet up point. Don't hesitate taking the much later tours...there's still plenty of tourists around and it guarantees the night lights compared to just before sunset.
Beautiful views from the cruise, it covers all the main sights we wanted to see. This is not a guided tour but it wasn’t sold as that (at least on the top floor) it’s just to enjoy the view which were excellent. The only con that I mention it’s that we were rush to hop on and there was optional drink, they just greeted you and gave you a wine glass and moved on to the next while I wanted to have a non alcoholic drink. Otherwise, everything es excellent
Unfortunately for us the weather was awful. It had just started to snow and therefore it was difficult to see outside as the boat got all steamed up. However the skipper did open the window for a short while so we could take some photos. I’m sure in the summer it would be wonderful. We liked not having other people with us as we saw the big boats were really busy. I would definitely recommend this if there’s a group of you.
I would definitely recommend this! The journey lasts an hour and you have the option to sit inside (great in the winter, as they have heating) or outside, which is perfect for pictures and have also a nice seating area. The welcome you with a glass of prosecco or a mocktail, I choose the non-alcoholic drink and it was really nice. The boat has free wi-fi, and you can order more drinks from the bare if you want.
We selected a different Port and it worked perfect! Right in time the boat arrived with a Captain and a second person. We started at 8 pm and saw the city by night. Cocktails were great and not expensive. Music was great and we danced on the boat - just my little family. Experience was perfect and we will come back and book it again! Nothing to complain, only enjoy!
Nice mini cruise, does everything it promises, welcome drink and great view !! I do not give all the stars because the boarding was a bit chaotic, we had arrived first an hour before and we found ourselves in the middle of the crowd that entered without arrival criteria. In short, people who passed by all over the place without a real queue to enforce
I didn't have a guide for this tour. however, if you are just interested in the sightseeing of the wonderful iconic buildings, this is a definite yes. Please opt for late night cruises after 8.30 pm to enjoy the night life. we were welcomed with a sparkling wine drink to those who drink or mango juice to those who don't drink.
This Danube River tour in Budapest was just amazing! We chose an evening cruise to enjoy the illuminated bridges and views of the city. The boat was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The on-board bar was open and the prices for drinks and snacks were quite reasonable.
Everyone who comes to Budapest should take such a cruise. The experience of seeing Budapest in the evening is unforgettable. The cruise lasted an hour. There was a welcome drink in the form of red sparkling wine or juices. Possibility to purchase other drinks on board. I recommend..
The boat arrived on time and give us a tour of 1 hour + a welcome drink. Everything was smooth and perfect. I really did enjoy it at night since you get to see all the amazing places lightened. I recommend this activity to all the visitors. And many thanks for the amazing offer.
The cruise itself was not fast, but rather slow and relaxing. This allowed us to enjoy the panoramic views and take wonderful photos. The route passed through the inner city, allowing you to see the main attractions such as the Parliament, Buda Castle and others.
An absolute must when you come to Budapest. Strongly recommend going in the evening as seeing the Parliament building lit up at night is truly magical- far better than the Instagram pictures. And such value for money with you getting a welcome drink also.
The Danube cruise is a great experience to do in the evening hours when the evening lights begin to turn on. The welcome drink is a glass of prosecco. The seating is divided into 2 floors both indoor and outdoor. There is background music but not a guide.
It was really nice, just I didn't like that how much crowded it was and people were sitting in chair just literally continuously in the open air side. But the workers was really nice and the amazing view. Also the best time to go in sunset is 18.15 guys
It's okay, it lasts 1 hour and when you arrive they give you a glass of champagne, when it was cold inside they had stoves and it was very comfortable. You have to walk about 20 minutes from the parliament to get to the pier where it is located.
Beautiful experience, nice warm structure with a beautiful view, the sparkling wine is also excellent and there is the possibility of having an aperitif as you like while enjoying the view .. if you are in Budapest you must do it
Make sure to be there on time, otherwise you’ll end up staying on the first floor, which was fine but the led blue light was too bright. Beside that, it was a really nice experience and I would love to do that again someday.
Very nice experience, especially in the evening in the dark. The only drawback is the music that you turned on in the middle of the trip. Much too loud and much too quick-tempered. This disturbed the calm atmosphere.
Came a little late and rushed us but overall brilliant boat trip. Nice route - would recommend doing it in the sunset. Allowed to put music too and have the full personal experience. Friendly driver and host.
The price is right and they were super punctual, you can sit inside and you can go outside if you can't see well inside. You're offered a glass of not-so-bad prosecco and you're very warm inside.
It was a very nice evening cruise. Unfortunately the location of the pier is a bit far compared to others, but we still enjoyed it a lot. Friendly service, warm inside the boat and good vibes.
Fab boat tour. City is beautiful at night! Arrive early to be able to get a good seat as it was very busy but you are able to get up and walk around. Seating outside also. Highly recommended
