Details

Join a guided day trip from Krakow to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, the largest former Nazi concentration and extermination camp and today a UNESCO-listed site of remembrance. This visit offers an opportunity to learn about one of the most important chapters in modern history.

Travel from Krakow with organized transport options, including hotel pickup, and enter the memorial with a pre-arranged ticket for a streamlined experience. Throughout the 3.5-hour tour, you will be accompanied by a certified historian or licensed educator who provides essential context and expert commentary.

Begin at Auschwitz I, where you will walk through preserved barracks and prisoner blocks. View original belongings of victims, pass beneath the “Arbeit macht frei” gate, and learn about the daily conditions, hardships, and resilience of prisoners.

Continue to Auschwitz II–Birkenau, the expansive section of the camp where over a million people were murdered. Here, you will see the remains of the gas chambers and crematoria and gain a deeper understanding of the site’s role in the Nazis’ “Final Solution.” Your guide will lead a reflective moment at the memorial areas.

This guided experience offers historical clarity and space for personal reflection, providing a respectful way to honor the victims of the Holocaust.

It has gone very well. However, the van was very small. The person who picked us up didn't know Spanish, but once in the museum the guided tour was in Spanish. Very good service. Auschwitz is a must-see if you are in Krakow.

The tour guide and transport were great, but the museum was quite busy and so parts of the tour felt rushed. Would have liked a bit more time to take everything in. We went on a Saturday so maybe avoid weekends if possible!

We really enjoyed the auschwitzz trip. The tour guide was good but could only speak broken English so sometimes we struggled to understand him. We were put into a different group and split away from our family on our trip. Clear communication is key on these kind of trips and that is where it lacked unfortunately.
