It was lovely and a very nice chill experience. We went later in the day. Not as hot. Would definitely recommend doing this. Saw people standing in lines trying to get gondolas. Easier to pre order/ reserve. We found our destination easily and we were immediately taken to the gondola!

FAQ

What happens if it rains on the day of my private gondola ride with serenade in Venice?
The tour may be suspended in case of bad weather. If conditions look uncertain, you're still required to go to the departure point at the Santa Maria del Giglio Gondola station to find out whether the ride will proceed and discuss any alternative arrangements. Venice weather can be unpredictable, so checking the forecast and having a flexible plan for your day is wise. The 24-hour free cancellation policy covers you if you cancel in advance, but weather-related decisions on the day are made at the departure point.
What type of music is played during the Venice gondola serenade?
The serenade features traditional romantic Italian songs performed live by local musicians who accompany you on the gondola. This is a distinctive feature that sets this experience apart from standard gondola rides — most other operators don't include live musicians on board. The repertoire typically includes classic Italian love songs and Venetian folk melodies that match the atmosphere of gliding through hidden canals. You can contact the organizer Venice Events if you'd like to ask about customizing the music for a special occasion such as a proposal or anniversary.
What is the best time of day to take a romantic gondola ride with serenade in Venice?
Two departure times are available — 11:00 and 17:
What should I wear for the Venice private gondola ride with serenade?
Dress comfortably but consider the setting — this is a romantic, intimate experience, so many guests choose to dress up a little. Flat shoes are a practical choice since you'll be stepping into a rocking gondola from a dock. In warmer months, a light shawl or jacket is still useful as the narrow canals can be shaded and breezy. In cooler months, wrap up warmly — you'll be sitting still on the water for 30 minutes, which feels colder than walking. Avoid bulky bags that could make the gondola feel cramped, especially with musicians on board.
Can I bring food or drinks on the private gondola ride in Venice?
Food and drinks are not included in the tour, and the listing doesn't mention an option to purchase them. Bringing a small bottle of Prosecco and glasses to enjoy during the serenade is a popular idea — and one that fits the romantic spirit of the experience — but check with the organizer first to confirm this is permitted. Keep in mind the gondola has limited space, especially with musicians aboard, so anything you bring should be compact and easy to manage.
How does the pricing work for the Venice gondola ride and serenade?
The price is per gondola, not per person — €390 for a group of 1–3 passengers and €510 for a group of 4–8 passengers. This is important to understand when comparing prices with shared gondola tours, which charge per person. For a couple, the cost works out to €195 each; for three people, €130 each. The larger group option is significantly better value per person. When booking through Alle Travel, the total is shown upfront with all taxes included and no hidden fees — though gratuities for the gondolier are optional and appreciated.
What should I do if I arrive late to my scheduled gondola serenade?
Arriving late directly reduces your ride time — the gondola will still depart at the scheduled time, so if you're 10 minutes late, you'll only get 20 minutes on the water instead of
Is the gondola ride with serenade accessible for guests with mobility issues?
The experience is not fully accessible. Boarding a gondola requires stepping down from a dock into an unstable, rocking vessel, which can be difficult for anyone with reduced mobility or balance concerns. There are no wheelchair-accessible gondolas available. If you have mild mobility limitations, the gondolier can offer a hand to help you board, but the physical step down is unavoidable. Contact Venice Events directly before booking to discuss your specific needs and whether the experience is feasible for your situation.
