45 minute, sightseeing, river cruise in a 1947 traditional hand-painted boat
Details

The Terreiro do Paço River Station is the starting point for the 45-minute cruise. From the river, you can see Commerce Square, Sao Jorge Castle, Alfama, the National Pantheon, and Santa Apolonia Station in the historic city center. Sail through the middle of the river on the way back to take in Lisbon's beautiful hills and, from a distance, the 25 de Abril Bridge and Christ the King.

The tour takes place on a vintage 1947 sailing cargo boat that can hold fifty passengers. Warm tones and numerous hand-painted flowers add a touch of charm and authenticity to the boat's decor.

These boats went out of use in the late 1960s when road bridges were built, and only about 75 of the thousands of boats that were built survived, all of which were properly registered in the Marinha do Tejo, the living portion of the Portuguese Navy Museum. Take a river cruise on this one-of-a-kind piece of historical history.

Amanda
Me and my friend went on a 45 minute trip which was just enough time on the windy river. The guide was talking just enough about the most interesting parts of Lisbon history and culture. We were also given the opportunity to take pictures on the boat and walk around and look for ourselves. Thank you for a nice afternoon trip!

A fun trip in a beautiful boat on the river! The views of the city were lovely, the information from the tour guide was nice, but he also paused for a good amount of time so that we could just enjoy being there. The Fado music was also and excellent touch

Experience to do. The tour itself is short but the kids will know how to involve you in the history and art of Lisbon. I would like to point out Ruben who, with his perfect Italian, helped us discover the hidden corners of Lisbon. Then the boat is a blast to get another point of view on the cit
