Street Art Tour
Nothing gives you a better insight into the cultural undercurrents of contemporary Budapest than its street art. Dive into a scene that’s been boldly growing and consistently pushing creative boundaries over the last few years on a walking tour where you will gain an insider's perspective on the city's history, culture, and politics.
The bulk of this tour will be spent looking at murals, graffiti, and other forms of street art. The more you explore, the more you’ll find, dotted around the otherwise bare walls of the city’s Jewish Quarter. But you're not just here to take photos. Benefit from a discussion of each piece, in which you will get familiarized with the themes, socio-political context, and artists behind the artworks.
With local artists dominating the scene — and using their work to celebrate the ideas, values, and ways of life that locals are passionate about — you’ll find yourself getting an accidental lesson in history and culture. Our small group tours are limited to 8 people, so you’ll have plenty of chances to ask questions and get local tips.
