Details

Discover why Budapest is called the Pearl of the Danube aboard the exclusive Gróf Széchényi ship. The boat takes you beneath six bridges of Budapest while introducing you to Budapest's most famous sights.

Hop on board and set out to see sights like the mighty House of Parliament, the Chain Bridge, the Buda Castle, the Fisherman’s Bastion up on the Hill of Buda, and the Gellért mountain, crowned by the majestic Citadella.

The ship's wooden interior, designer carpets, and on-board bar add a sense of comfort and luxury to your cruise. Don't forget to explore the lower floor for the engine room during your time on board.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the riverbank of the Danube as you cruise past the city's beautiful historical buildings.

At first I wasn't very keen on doing the cruise, I've done it in other countries and I was thinking of doing another one... but in the end we decided to do it and it's worth it, although at night you can see the buildings from the river and it's something else. They give you a welcome drink when you enter the cruise, you sit on the side you want and relax and enjoy the spectacular views.

It was really nice. Should plan to be there early to avoid the queue and to make sure to get good seats. The 7pm cruise ends just as they are starting to turn on the lights in the buildings and bridges. They have non-alcoholic options for the drinks. The weather was perfect. There was some live music in the boat. Overall a good experience.

Anyone who associates Budapest with Hungarian music and Czarda's dance performance will not be disappointed here. On a beautifully restored paddle steamer of the k. and k. Monarchy, you can cruise along the wonderfully illuminated Danube promenade in the evening. The parliament and the castle are within reach. From a culinary point of view, you get your money's worth at the buffet. A successful evening. Easy to reach metro station for the journey home

Met my expectations and delivered as detailed in the brochure except for the live music part. Wasn't looking for it though and enjoyed the quietitude of seating on the deck of a paddle wheel drive steamer while enjoying the sights.
